I'll laugh if it's similar to PBEM6 because I remember Krill saying he thought the PBEM6 map was boring because "it's been done before" - referring to some demogame that happened a decade or so ago in the Civ3 era or something like that.

I think SleepingMoogle, Ellimist and Nicolae may have the Oracle in the bag.

Qualifier - PBEM6 was boring because of the sheer lack of land the players started with. 10 tiles, maybe? At least here they can fit in 4 cities, and have a choice about when to build a galley.

Qualifier to your qualifier- PBEM 6 was awesome because half of those 10 tiles were in the posession of the barbs. Well, either "awesome" or "infuriating"
Anyway, I gladly accept your imitation as the sincerest form of flattery =)

Aaaand holy crap. That's way too much food for a single city, but hard to otherwise parse.
I'm impressed, Krill, you've given all these very cramped, yet very fertile spots, makes for an interesting game with a good fast start-up.
And in other news, Elimoogle certainly can win it, but I think I'd rather have Noble's level of development and no Oracle than slow my start. Curious if Kuro's much more expansion-minded start will help him.

I'm not lurking this at all, basically because any time a player goes Monument first I write the game off as a farce, but I still think PBEM6 is my favorite map concept of any of the PBEMs. This map looks pretty good from the 2 seconds of whatever I've looked at it, but I really like the concept.
I think any map that involves a fair bit of island hopping is a good map, just for the extra choices it involves, its just tricky to figure out how you balance water heavy maps with GLH and Fin, though Krill certainly had one solution to GLH here.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

So, a three-way Oracle race out of four teams, how exciting.
Is Jkaen going to win it with a whip on T49? Noble's estimate is T52 and Elimoogle's is T50, both without a whip, I think.
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

This seems pretty interesting, getting the Oracle. It appears like the winner probably will whip it by the looks of it. I think it would be pretty funny if Jkaen grabs the Oracle despite the Monument start haha. Man, why did Noble tip off Jkaen's team that they were building the Oracle Either way this is the first real exciting thing to happen it seems, looking forward to seeing who gets it.

Yeah, where's the popcorn?
And it's an odd race - Jkioan need to keep up their communication, co-ordination & concentration for 4 more turns (I'd say that's iffy, based on the thread so far, they don't even manage to only play each save once ). Noble's talked himself out of any need to accelerate coz he thinks Jkioan wouldn't bother negotiating if they were really close, but they didn't really negotiate And Ellimoogle haven't twigged there's an actual race.
My bet's on Jkioan, tho, unless NobleLewwyn get paranoid.

Again, the real winner here is Kuro, despite the poor fellow being really confused in his C&D by the race distortions. It's not a huge deal either, Pericles screams Pyramids, not Colossus. I am really not sure it's worth sacrificing everything (including WHIPPING) to save yourself the annoyance of researching Metal Casing. Heh. And even worse if it goes "The Oracle has been built in a distant land" then "Confucianism has been founded" if Jkioan can't finish pottery in time.
