If we are more than 5, I think that PBEM is gonna be very very slow. I wouldn't mind what superdeath is sugesting but he's afraid to say: Pitboss

Perfect. This will be my first game as well. This is a fairly long time commitment fyi.

I recommend reading through early game from some of the old pitboss games. Also, if do we have anyone interested in being a mentor dedlurker for new players?

My current thought is to leave signup open through next weekend. Below are some things I think need voted on. I will put up a google spreadsheet midweek for official votes. Let me know if I missed anything.

Map type : lakes, Pangaea, other suggestion?
Barbs: Normal or none
All scout start, no war until turn 25, no change

Dedlurker requested (just a checkbox if you would like one). Figure while mapmaking is going on I can make a separate post requesting some.

Also for the green players. I compiled a list of other games a point based system for leaders and civs has been used for base BTS games. Was going to save for myself, but figured that wasn't quite in the spirit. Note point system has evolved over time, so not exact, but some interesting insights from experienced players if you read just a few pages at the beginning of each players thread.
