I know you are broke but getting settlers ready right now to replant and block those two shitty cities is worth so much more than Guilds IMO.

In addition, I built a road to help speed along Cornflakes' chariots, but I'm only slow-rolling my own stack to the west, and intentionally not moving to threaten Mjmd ... yet. I'm not sure if I want to get involved or just poach territory as Cornflakes burns cities in the west. So with that in mind, I started a pair of settlers.

Edited. I wasn't so explicit after turn 138 when I asked about a raze and replace, because I didn't think it needed to said: mid game onwards having settlers ready to exploit opportunities is really important so they need to be on the map, not just in a build queue somewhere.
I believe the Nike slogan applies.

Yeah, it's one of those mid game things like always running specialists towards your next GP that I have trouble with.

For the 3 yield domestic trade routes, size 14 is not enough it also requires 14 distance on standard size map.

I'm getting 3c trade routes from Eldritch Horror in every city , so something is causing that to work.

Mjmd is asking me to save him.
Because Cornflakes is trying to make it as obvious as possible that I'm helping him fight Mjmd.
He had a shot against an empty city and didn't take it! Why in the world would you not take that shot? The chariot is wounded but I don't see why Cornflakes wouldn't have just skipped past a defender and burned down Outside Track.
In addition, the other 5 chariots just putted around in my territory and didn't advance. He could have been threatening Balclutha this turn. But Mjmd now has empty cities on my border, and I'm really tempted to declare war on him next turn if they stay empty. I did another stalling move with my forces, but I did move a chariot into position to burn Balclutha myself if its in my favor to do so.
Still, I wanted to be able to build some courthouses. Not jump right into the next war.
Notice the great person bar at the top right: I've hired a pair of mercs in Azul, but it's going to be a mixed bag GP in favor of a scientist. Then we get another out of Wingspan about 12 turns later and hopefully one of them is a merchant.

You know the answer to this.
Burning the city helps you amd hurts Mjmd but does not help Cornflakes, and means you do jot have to commit to the war.
Capturing a worker hurts Mjmd and helps Cornflakes and doesn't help you but makes you commit to get the big benefit.
It's a new and small city so capture gold is negligible and he might also lose a unit. As it is if Cornflakes wants to backstab you he can war dec and where do those chariots telwport to?

A big reason why I would never take Mjmd's proposal for me to declare on Cornflakes is because I'm not entirely sure. I belive they would end up to the west of Gloomhaven / SW of Scythe, out of the range of my 2-movers and able to cause me to be watchful of my western border.
In any case, we're waiting on SucksAtCiv ... again ... so I ducked in and looked at what moves Mjmd made:
2 chariots now in Outside and Baldutha still empty. So next turn we are probably going to burn Baldutha and move all our 2 movers within striking range of Outside, then offer peace to Mjmd for Outside.
In the east, Cornflakes is outnumbered and out-catapulted. Don't expect anything there except for the stalemate to continue.
