T133 - Scientist is in, 1t to pyramids. Didn't start GA, couldn't decide if it was better to start it and lose a turn of Rep bonus (needing the delay to finish Pyramids so I could swap 2 civics at once) or not.

T134 - Success.
Flipped 2 more nominally useless tiles on the border with Charriu. I'm winning on the corner tile between Forza and Schilda - which will give me direct access to the city, but it's slow going. He had 52% when SH doubled on T124, currently he is at 51%.
First forge completed.
Kicked off GA. Revolted into OR and Rep, whipped 81/90 library in capital overflowing to Forge.

Running a bunch of specialists.
Munsal borrowed a dry hill for next 2t. That plus OR bonus moves MoM to 3t (3rd giving it back), finishing with 2 hammers of overflow and 4 food in the box.

Aesthetics in 2t. Where to take a shot at SoZ? 3xp everywhere says backline, where it will also build fast.
Ponies are in my culture, but I haven't even hinted at improving them yet.

MagicScience shows a longbow.
Charriu is on a huge hammer push, passing me, but my graph should look better when my own GA stats show.

SoZ only applies in city which it is built

Having never built it in the mod, I have no knowledge of that.
But that makes sense, otherwise it's 200 shields for 1.5 pentagons.

In HE city city it is still worth. Naturally I think the city close to the frontline with decent base production is better for HE.

Pyramids/GW city is not bad for it but I am not sure that we have a unit to unlock HE.

We could consider Schwedragon for theocracy/pacifism. With gold it must not be very expensive.

This just happened.


Magic stole three tiles. Jungle, horse, and the corner tile to my city between them.
Looks like a city offscreen popped borders right after I took the horse tile and reclaimed the old culture from the burned city? Nothing else I can think of explains losing all 3 tiles at the same time.
Sure, I only had 2-3 culture in the horse and jungle tiles. But the corner tile should have had 10, plus 20-30 for the turns after borders popped. And he's at 90% ownership of it, so if I have 30, he has 300. If he's putting 10cpt in of his own, I won't get it back until I pop borders again in 20-30t (going to 20+output), plus another 30t. Or about when Hills gets to 500 culture of it's own if I push.

With him having direct access to the city with 1-movers the whole time.
Oh, and the other jungle tile (west of wine) doesn't look good either. If he's active in that tile (putting his city in line with the rice), it'll flip next turn.



GP production. I'm really bad at this. It counts as micro, plus random chance, and it just annoys me.
And I've probably already fouled it up with my "it's a GA - run everything everywhere, quick!" mentality, boosted by the want to run specialists while I'm in rep.

Schilda. Prophet or Merchant. Currently 90% prophet, but that is going to fall fast. This will be it's only one ever.
Canoel. High odds prophet as well. I made a boneheaded move and ran 2 merchants last turn (14 of 350 or 400 points, call it 5% chance) - I was thinking it had a temple not shrine, so I didn't even try to run more than one priest.
Venusburg. 50/50 split for merchant or scientist. I'm thinking I should bias it towards sci
Rungholt. Some base GE points, mixed with yet more merchant and scientist.

So if things go really badly, I could get multiple merchants in a row. I've come to my senses, after a turn of messy point production.
Schilda will either make a merchant or a prophet while everything else waits. If it's a prophet, venus makes a merch/sci to go with it.
If it's a merchant, Canoel turns out a prophet (barring bad luck), with Rungholt being the 3rd option.

Next one (3 needed). I have 2 religions in-border already. With a couple temples, Canoel could be running 5 priests at need, plus a couple base points. 18*2.35=42 per turn in a GA.
I'll want to use a prophet in every following GA, they will be my most reliable production. Argument for putting Shwedoodle there for the GP point. And maybe stop stalling for a "good" Maoi spot and put it there as well. It has 5 coast tiles + 3 ocean including a fish, it'll turn a profit eventually.
After that, I need caste system or luck for artists.

It happened that his further city popped borders and reclaimed tiles hewas owning. Nothing to be scary of actually. The main idea was to raze his city to stop from generating culture deeper inside of our territory. If he wants to raze this city it is never be very good or important before it reclaims 1st circle of tiles.

He still has to bring some stuff to kick out aggressive praets or whatever is there. Also he needs to be aware of losing all right after. But you need wall there one day.

About GP it is indeed random thing. But 2person GA you should be able to start. For next one I think you will need caste. I relied on the Artist from Music, but probably it will be gone to superdeath as well.

If you get luck with 1 GProphet, dont throw it on the 2nd GA. Then several 50/50 from forums must bring you both type of GPs.

Thoughts on where to attempt SoZ (and eventual HE).
TLDR=In the interest of speed I think Nobiskrug is the way to go. Setup that way for now, but not committed until the next turn ends.

Nobiskrub bordering Magic - 19 base shields (not including the current GA bonus) with a 3 food surplus (or 21 shields running an Engineer). Already has religion+forge, and I whipped a 36/40 missionary this turn.. Overflow is 24 whip, 29 base, times 1.5 = 80 shields. 120 to go at 43/t, for an easy 3t build =T140
Bad, it's a long way from the other fronts.
Good, puts more culture pressure on Magic. As will HE someday. 2 empty green tiles that could be workshops. Plus a cottage and village that could be pillaged and workshopped before it's too late.

Venusburg. 20 shields if it isn't running specialists (with a 1 food surplus), plus a couple more off plains farms ultimately. Good. Centrally located. Bad, 2 more turns for the forge to finish with minimal overflow, and I have to put my specialists to work. Center of my empire, so the culture isn't useful.

Malapartus. 20 shields. No food for more until civil service. 3 turns until the forge is done, 1t until it gets religion. Culture useful-ish on the short term, but hopefully not for too much longer. Artist points muddy the GE/GS points I'll want later when I need them for GA 5&6 or wonder-rushing.

Munsalwheelbarrow - 21 shields food neutral. Once it clears 500 culture, it starts pushing on Hulk (superdeath), but MoM will do that anyway. No forge yet, 1t on MoM, no overflow, so 7t build. Getting enough pressure to take the horse tile will require help from Portu as well - I need to put 20+ cpt into that tile, on a 3rd ring and 4th ring, so realistically I won't be getting anywhere until Portu (currently at 72c) clears 500c as well - so a long way to go. I'll get the horse on Magic's side faster if I can hold onto Hills.

T136 Builds.
Capital. Forge, and running 2 sci. Missionaries next I think.
Canoel. Starting Shewedoodle (8t, but GA ending will extend that), running 2 priests (will have to abort before GA ends). -1 food (plenty in box)
Nobis. Missionary(1t) into SoZ(3t). Wants a forum, but unlikely to get it soon.
Portu. Forge(8t)
Hills. Holding a barracks at 36/40, starting 3t walls this turn. It gets a missionary in 2t, then can whip the walls into forge, and 2t later regrow to size2 and whip the barracks into forge. Then it can finish the forge and build archers until the end of time or something (maybe some culture buildings). And if Magic tries something in the next few turns, I'm positioned to have the walls up.
Venus. Forge(4t), 2 sci.
Musalv. MoM (1t), then Forge probably.
Antium. Forge (6t), then troops.
Malepartus. Forge (3t), then troops.
Schilda. Attempting to build an archer very slowly and running 2 merchants.
NotRome. Forge (5t), then troops.
WhiteBear. Another slow archer

Missionary walking. Went past Hills (it gets the next one). Can hit Antium or Malep next turn, or NotRome in 2. It won't save Malep a turn on the forge, and is useless for troops, so it doesn't go there. NotRome gets it.

Logged in for a minute when I noticed the new turn. It'll be many hours before I can actually play.

MoM is ours.
I messed up the math on SoZ overflow, it's 4t to completion.
Winning the corner tile at Hills faster than I thought, still slow though. And the pony tile is worse, it was inner ring for the burned city (and isn't for me) so has much more plotculture to beat.
Corner tile at Forza has fallen to 50% for Charriu, 49 for us. Probably 3t more until we flip it. Of course if he pops borders again, it'll stop.
