I'm a bit drunk and there are still 8 people to play so I'll add a bit of time and play in the morning...
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57
In progress: Rimworld
Had to add a bunch of time because im unlikely to get to the turn before work in the morning ( if im even able to play ) and then i work 10hrs, followed by plans after work.. I do apologize.

Seems like you might as well bump the timer up to 36 hours instead of 24 instead of adding extra time every turn.
If history has taught me anything it's that the more base time you add the more people delay their turns. With Krill out of the game someone has to take up the mantle of bitching about the pace. If the turns would actually last 36 hours when you extend it I wouldn't object too much as it's a big game, but that's not what will happen.
I don't know all the turnsplits so I'm not going to point fingers any fingers, although I have noticed certain trends throughout the game. All I'll say is play your ******* turns if you're able to. If you always wait until the last possible moment for your own convenience you are part of the problem. Message sponsored by Krill.
Im headed to bed, and cannot play yet.. and ill only be getting 4hrs of sleep before work so playing before work is sadly not an option. Ill add enough time so that i can get to it right after work.
Ill also second the "please play your turns when you are able to" But, i also realize i have a lot more free time than some people. Apologies for the extended timer! <3

In Badgame pitbosses we post in the game's general discussion thread whenever there's a turnsplit or a war declared, I don't know if there's a particular reason you don't do that on here.
At least in early game when most people have not met each others that gives away too much info IMO. Say I'm neighbouring another civ (say civ A) and I'm on the fence of attacking him. If I see a post, Civ B declares war vs civ A I might immediately join in. If I don't see that message and civ A manages to defend well enough I might not notice the war at all and there is no dogpile
