Adding BUG and BULL to RtR

Quote:CvUnit::canMoveInto - Changed to allow paratroopers to capture workers and undefended cities after paradropping. Also allows units with multiple moves to capture multiple tiles of non-combat units like workers.

This seems to me like a change that should be highlighted in game mechanics changes and not buried in a bug fix log.

This is just a list of fixes that I found inside of BUG. It's our decision if we want to include it. It was not my intention to bury it in there so it goes unnoticed.

I thought we sorted that by giving paratroopers blitz, so they could do it anyway?

Ah I didn't know that. In that case I leave it to you, which of those solutions should be implemented; both are easy to do.

Unfortunately merging the two mods slowed down a bit for me. I'm right now looking for a new job, which is taking up some time, which I normally would use for this. But don't worry as soon as I'm employed again development will continue.

I looked in-game and it seems that paratroopers do not have blitz. So what should I do about this change around the paratroopers?

Thanks for the well wishes and question. Life is ok. You might have guessed it by now, but I'm working as a developer. That's why I'm quite confident that I will find a new job soon. I'm also living nearby a bigger city with lots of tech companies, in a country with lay-off protection of 3 month and with general unemployment insurance. So yeah, I'm not worried right now. And sorry to all the folks that are not so lucky.

Ha, too late, because I have very good news.

I'm done with merging everything in and it works. So here are my next plans:

  1. Do some games to find any immediate bugs
  2. Prepare a beta-test version for you guys.
  3. Let you guys test in singleplayer for a while.
  4. Create an MP game to test the connectivity, potential MP bugs etc.
  5. A final MP game to test if everything works in an actual setting with multiple players interacting.
And as I have promised I've added everybody that I could identify in the credits:
