Cornflakes: Has Aesthetics, Literature, Meditation, Theology, Divine Right, Alphabet, Civil Service, Paper, Education, Gunpowder. Doesn't have Calendar(?!)

Mjmd: Has Meditation, Aesthetics, Literature, Drama, Music, Civil Service. Doesn't have Banking.

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but you need a plan for Cornflakes running to Mil Trad and then Rifling. Unless you can fix the tech deficit in the next 25 turns and start catching up I'd call it, but at teh same time he could just run straight to cannons and Grens and he would likely get there before you could get any new military tech. I would suggest that due to Clank as the lightening rod you could pull off the Commodore defence from PB64 because you do have decent production but cannons would be the threat to Mjmd (SD can actually fight them with cataphracts and SaC will be dead) and then you would be cleaned up by a sledgehammer of Cuirs from the north west and a slow moving anvil of cannons and other junk from teh east.

I think if that happens it's just about over. I'll attack Mjmd and burn some of his cities while being consumed by Cornflakes rather than die a slow death and let Mjmd win.

Why? Because this is entirely of Mjmd's making. (Well, not entirely true. I should not diminish the fact that Cornflakes has played very well and deserves the win. ) Mjmd needs to join the attack. He needed to join in 50 turns ago, but he decided to help Cornflakes and attack us instead. Instead he thinks he can just sit back and win because we're going to throw our games into slowing down the runaway? I'd rather just let the runaway win.

Let me re-emphasize that if I had a good attacking path towards Cornflakes I would take it. Or I could do like Superdeath and just hopelessly send my army around the world looking for another angle to come at him by. But it just doesn't exist. Honestly I should be teching for Astronomy right now; that would be the best way I can contribute in concert with the other two attacking by land.

So if it comes to cannons and rifles against my muskets and knights? My muskets & knights are going to burn Mjmd cities. My tech path is to go for Nationalism, because the sooner Taj is off the table, the sooner we can rid the game of the fantasy that there is anybody who can sit back and catch Cornflakes peacefully.

My thoughts on odds to win right now:

Cornflakes - 90%
Us - 8%
Mjmd- 2%
SD - Has already thrown himself in front of the bus

And that 2% is more on me screwing up my plan rather than Mjmd succeeding at out-teching or out-whatevering Cornflakes.

TBH it's Rep and Oxford, so figure out a way to get into Constitution and not cripple your evonomy with draft pump cities and you might have a shot.

It's not a good one, mind.

I think it's what Mjmd is going for, and he's been banking gold - presumably to take a run at Nationalism before CF realizes what is going on

Okay, I'm ready to concede now:




Superdeath is literally emptying his cities to go all in on a last ditch effort. There's one thing for ganging up to knock down the tall poppy - again, something I've tried to get them to do all game - but to give up any pretense of winning yourself just to knock down the guy who played well enough to win? That just seems farcical to me. Or did Cornflakes do something to SD to upset him? Hell if I've been able to understand anybody's motives this game.

SD also sent us a message telling us '4 turns'.

Cornflakes declared war on Mjmd this turn. Not so much an invasion but just him telling us he realizes what is going on. I suppose that will get Mjmd to actually do something more than anything else, but it's too little too late at this point.

Hitru, I leave it up to you. If you think that it's a worthy endeavour I will send all 12 of my knights - we hit the magic number this turn! - along with everything down at Clank in for one last hurrah. If you think it's a bit silly then I'll concede.

If I see Mjmd try to game the dogpile to come out on top, I'm attacking him.

Moved our stuff up to go in next turn:




Cornflakes making the smart move to go for Nationalism. Getting Taj before any of us should shut the door on any final economy catchup hopes.

Can we concede already or does he need to smash our half-hearted dogpile first?

Moved in the junk in the south:




I did leave my knights a turn behind ... in case I actually decide I want to move them in. But I'm more likely waiting for enough minutemen to be made in the north so I can attack Mjmd. Speaking of which, Mjmd asked for Open Borders and has a sentry chariot on the border now. Didn't give it to him
