Ok, maybe I got too excited seeing 2 food resources, what would you hope to find? I can see a move NW-NW next turn in the hope to find better tiles to accompany the 2 food we now have. Or 2N onto the sheep hill. Or I can see settling 1N, losing the silk, but gaining the 2nd hill and a forest on the tile where the settler is now (and a second bonus Pro hammer when building a Worker)
If we settle next turn, with bonus hammers we aren't too far behind non-Pro leaders. How long are you willing to spend searching for a better spot? And what do you think would be a good enough spot to settle - what does it need to have apart from 2 land-based food?

Hope to find? Aim is simply to settle closer to other people so WC have fewer tiles to travel.

Heh. Well I also didn't see it. Looked like moving as we did gave Scout more options for next turn. And I could've realised it after the first movement of the Settler

Also PRO bonus is pretty shitty with only 2 hammers...worker would finish, what, eot T10 if settling on the hill, and finish eot T10 even if settling with plains hill first ring (due to making additional hammers).

I see. Well, move Settler onto the sheep hill then? To see more of the surroundings? Scout to 9?

Personally I'd move the scout 9 and then evaluate options. The settler can either spend a turn going 22 and settling for 3 food, or move 7 and look over the lakes. Settling 7 of the plains hill forest would give 3 forests.

Indeed it does. So 7, then either 7 or 9, depending on what it sees?
