I'm not going to comment further along that line because I'm a global (albeit still ignorant) lurker and do not want to ask an untoward question.
What I will ask is this: with knowledge of how the district discount mechanism works (global knowledge at this point), what is the order of building districts and research in the above plan? How do you square that mechanic with your above wonder plan.

Well, I am only going to work in a holy site. I do not think the first one of each type is ever discounted. If and when I go for a second one I may be able to get it discounted but I doubt it.
That is just my general build plan, if for instance I find Sumeria to be my neighbor then my plan will have to include Archers ASAP.
I played several games with my bro over the weekend and got Gilgamesh one of them and he conceded within 45 turns. Those war carts are no joke. So not sure there is much good coming up with an exact plan yet as I do not know how close and who my neighbors are.
I plan to fix up my forum helper program I wrote for PBEM 6 and I quickly added the base to track the district costs for the succession game I am playing. I have tomorrow off and intend to get it back into working condition then. Once that is setup I can more accurately figure out the district costs.

Turn (10)
Techs are coming in for everyone, as well as looks like Chevalier has some very nice food tiles in his capital. Other than that score is the same.
Scout is on his way to the eastern map edge, with high aspirations of meeting some city states, as well as my opponents.
Next few turns should reveal the land in my immediate area. Also I lucked out getting the top part of the map. On inland sea there is only a few tiles of tundra / snow in the north pole. The south pole has about 7 tiles worth of it.

Turn (11)
Animal Husbandry is in
As can be expected I am no longer tied at the top.
People are growing, getting era points and meeting city states it seems.
I took a strat view shot with the rankings screen.
Looks like between growing and possible meeting culture city states I am in the middle of the pack at the moment. Also judging my domination others may have build slingers first, or possibly we are all tied with a scout, I find it hard to judge when I can not get exact numbers.
I seem to have plenty of fresh water in the immediate area.
There is a lot of desert to the south east, which makes Petra a possibility in the future. Still do not have a firm plan yet, more info needed. I also checked and this is not a tiny map size. There may be room up in the north for cities depending on how much tundra there is on this size. Maybe even a cs up there.
After playing games over the weekend it appears I am wrong on what triggers the Next game Era. From the games I played with my brother the countdown started around when one of us got a tech or civic just before the next age. For instance State Workforce, triggered the countdown or it may have been both of us getting the end of the ancient Era tech.
I can not be more specific without further testing but looks like my timeline for a Golden Age will be shorter than I thought. It may be that half of the people do need certain techs / civics. I really can not confirm 100%. What this means though is that I will need to get points ASAP.

Well me and archduke seemed to have drawn the short stick in the era department
Never the less my scouting efforts have found a nice defensive position in the west. Bastion 2.0 may be in order.
No new news on the settler view
Going to have my warrior and slinger head north and see what is up that way at some point. Would hate to miss a cs that could be lurking towards the tundra.

Well looks like the east is shaping up to be an excellent spot for Petra
Still have not found were that barb scout ran off to.
In the west.
Found a barb camp. May be able to get some units over there at some point. Not sure how close my enemy on this side is though. Still no borders to be found.
Peaches just grew a size and is working food, production and gold tiles. Swapping to the forest did not get the settler done any quicker so I thought the extra gold was the way to go.
Also tile picker has been on that stone for a while now, so hopefully I get that tile.
Finally the score
Everybody is getting Era points except for me! Not to worry. I think with wonders, scouting and barb camps I should be able to get the points I need in time for a golden age.

Turn (14)
Score and rankings screens show that I am a bit behind. I did settle a turn after everyone so they get the civic score boost that I have not gotten yet. I am not worried at the moment as It looks like I have plenty of land to myself.
Score
Rankings
Calculations showed I had one more turn to move my warrior until I needed to send him home to guard my settler. So I moved along the river another tile.
More desert. Petra is looking better and better though.
The big news of the turn however comes from the west.
Not only do I see red on the settler view. It looks like I have a nice defensive area over here. Now that is hopefully a cs, religious would be ideal, but Ill take whatever. If it is an opponent then things could get dicey.
Next turn I may be able to make contact.

Turn (15)
First up is code of laws is in, but before I made a swap I wanted to see what cs may be lurking in the west.
Turns out to be culture cs. So I swap some faith and barb helper policies.
The east seems to be a massive desert dotted with watering holes.
Not much to be done with the area until I can attempt a Petra city it looks like. May be able to justify a city by the stone and bananas.
Peaches is producing a settler at a nice pace.
It looks like civics now give 3pts a piece. Which if I remember correctly they used to give 2. Not that it really maters. Now with Era score tied in my score does look very low, but it is really just the luck of the draw.
The rankings screen shows I am running in the middle of the pack.
Tile picker did not do me justice and grabbed a second cotton. Well it is either wheat or stone next, preferable stone.
Next turn I should meet the culture CS and hopefully I am the first.

So that culture CS?
Had not been met yet so that is +2 One of the better cs to meet in the beginning of the game. Now I won't have to worry about getting monuments done in all my cities right away.
Score and Rankings
Not much of a change in the score department. My settler is due to complete on turn 19, with city #2 to be settled on turn 23.
Looks like I am one of the few who went with a scout first. Each turn has seen a shuffle in location, so not sure if tiles or cs have been met in the different categories. Only time and scouting will tell.
Lady of the Reeds and Marshes is looking promising actually, maybe Petra City will be city #4 and be a very good city if I can land the wonder.

Turn (17)
Western scout heads through Kumasi lands.
It probably is hard to see but the bonus give extra : and : to trade routes too city states for every district in the home city. It will probably be a long time before the land between us is settled so not sure I will be able to make use of that ability any time soon. More importantly looks like any wood be enemy of Georgia would have to go through Kumasi to get into Georgia territory.
Score shows that I am lagging behind a bit.
The points however are due to Era score and being behind in tech by one turn. Which is expected since I was the only one to settle on turn 2.
Rankings screen still has me in the middle.
I think my science is low due to #1 of techs, some one else seems to have met a culture cs, and I may have been the only person to go scout first. Religion not sure if any one has met a religious cs or not.
I am a couple turns away from getting a settler, then starting on some builders. Got a good 6 tiles that could use improvement.
