Ruff_Hi Wrote:1) Map size - Standard Wins!
2) Huts - 2Y, 1N, 2DC
3) Random Events - 2Y, 3N
4) Tech Trading - Yes, Full wins
5) Game speed - quick or normal (advanced start with 400g, classical era gaining ground)
6) Espionage - no civic / rel mission wins
7) Play order - by GMT
8: AIs - 'No' Wins
9) contact, map trade out of game - 'no restriction' wins
Edit: Dreylin (when he wakes up) has to decide on the bold items.
OK, see what happens when I take a lie-in!
Seems like we got lots decided but still some things to go. First the outstanding polls:
2) Huts - Yes (huts on - wins)
3) Events - Yes (giving us a tie, not sure what to do about this)
5) Speed - personally I'd prefer Quick regular start, but I think this issue has been complicated enough that it needs to be split into separate polls.
I also didn't really see any consensus on Mods, and there's some parms of the Archi map we'll need to define.
5a) Regular or Advanced Start (if Advanced, include Era)
5b) Game Speed (can be made dependant on 5a)
10) Barbs (everyone seems to have missed this one)
-1) Mod: BUFFY, NoScoreV2, None
11) Landmass type: Archipelago, Snaky Continents, Tiny Islands.
12) World Wrap: Cylindrical, Toroidal, Flat
13) Resources: Standard or Balanced
14) Climate: Temperate, Tropical, Arid, Rocky, Cold
15) Sea Level: Low, Medium, High

5a) Regular > Advanced Start (Classical) > Advanced (Medi) > etc.
5b) Quick > Normal
10) Barbs > Raging Barbs > No Barbs
-1) Mod: NoScoreV2 > None
11) Landmass type: Archipelago > Snaky Continents > Tiny Islands.
12) World Wrap: Cylindrical > Flat
13) Resources: Balanced
14) Climate: Temperate > Rocky
15) Sea Level: Medium > Low
Also, for the record I'd like to volunteer to put some limits on the acceptable Random civs that Yaz and I will receive. At a minimum, I personally would rule both Joao & Willem for a re-roll and am happy to add any others that people think would be overpowered in the current company.

- no stinking way
- please no
- no
- don't care
- yes
- yes please
- must, must be on
3) yes please
5a) Advanced Start (Classical)
5b) Quick if Ancient, Normal if Advanced start
10) Barbs - yes
-1) Mod: BUFFY (3.19.002), None, NoScoreV2 (my preference in order but don't really care)
11) Landmass type: Archipelago
12) World Wrap: Cylindrical
13) Resources: Standard
14) Climate: Temperate
15) Sea Level: Medium
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

One comment on on the map, I think everyone should be able to get contact before caravels, so a mapmaker would be required for that.

Actually, good point.
@Ruff - Hey! Why are you starting this when your AP demogame over at CFC is still on hold. In fact, Dreylin and Darrell are both signed up for that one too.

Edit: best way to start is to roll up something in single player mode with all of the right settings. Check the map in WB and save it as a WB save. Then start a new pbem game, select Dreylin's civ, enter a dummy password (pass this to Dreylin!) and save the game straight off. Then send that save to Dreylin.
Also select an admin password and make a note of it. May as well use the CFC pbem admin password repository by sending the info to ainwood.
