I wish they cared about MP balance. I don't think I can take civ 6 MP seriously. It's more like a choose your adventure book: you get the illusion of choice but end up at the same spot most of the time. So I'll try out some civs, try to follow my adventure, and in the end the biggest choice you make is which book (or civ) you picked up at the beginning

Just to give you all an idea of how great I am at Civ, I thought I offered Korea a declaration of friendship last turn. This turn I found I had mistakenly offered it to suboptimal.

Banzai attacks Korea.
I have a general idea that I want to attack at Nicodranas but I don't have everything ready. It'd be great to go at Crossbows, but I think those are still 10 turns out. Shorter version is the battering ram at my capital finishes end of turn. Probably another 5-6 turns to move it up to the front. I'll have 5 swords and 4-5 archers. Liberate the former city state and then use the production advantage to push on? Or take it for myself?

I rushed through playing this morning and didn't take any screenshots, but the friendship declaration ended this turn. Which means it's time to move, as Banzai likely had no idea when the friendship was going to end and so I may be able to catch him out of position. That means I need to push aside any last-second thoughts and worries and just go.
Next turn: upgrade units
Turn after: move into positions across the river from Nicodranas
Then: declare and go in

I refuse to just hit end turn in my sandbox until a winner is decided
If I can capture Nicodramas then I can hopefully hold position south of Emmon and mop up Port Damali. My concern is I have no navy whatsoever to speak of, and I suspect that Banzai has forces to my west, because somebody just burned Nan Modal and I don't think it was the Suboptimal. Hopefully Banzai is in too many conflicts to be able to punish me, but my power has climbed to within 100 of his.
Set policies last turn, started to go towards Mercenaries this last turn as well but realized it would take way too long to get there. So we're just going for better campuses. And hopefully a GG in 20 turns. 20 turns may be too late or it may be when I need help from a campaign that won't end.
