Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Just checking, we're playing on a standard size tectonics map, with 8 players?

Thanks Cornflakes, you can see how much attention I'm paying to this game. Probably doesn't bode well for me lol

Still keeping up, but I just realized something that could cause a problem (I don't think anyone took this option in PB80, so it just didn't come up) - the way we have to set this up to emulate advanced start in sequential pitboss means that all the advanced start choices have to be edited in via World Builder. For most things, this is fine - but if you choose to add additional population to an existing city, you're supposed to get food in the bin along with it: I think half-way to the next size. But Worldbuilder saves never preserve invested food or production like that; any food would be lost when the game was started. So ... does anyone has a suggestion for a way to work around that or compensate for it in some way? Otherwise, if anyone was planning to jump a city to size 2, you can decide whether you want to reconsider the plan.

I've posted my picks and screenshot in my thread. All systems go here.

We will need a volunteer from the audience to get a random roll to see who is 1st in turn order.

Oh - Cornflakes is first in turn order; I should have said so. I had to roll for that before sending the saves so I'd know which of the start positions and leaders/civs went to whom. (They're all as-generated by the map roll, in the generated order.)

Two suggetsions:
A) Ignore it, it will be similar for everyone else.
B) Convert the "lost" food into gold at a given ratio. Optionally, this gold can be spent in the advanced start.
Playing: PB74
Played: PB58 - PB59 - PB62 - PB66 - PB67
Dedlurked: PB56 (Amicalola) - PB72 (Greenline)
Maps: PB60 - PB61 - PB63 - PB68 - PB70 - PB73 - PB76

For full disclosure I did not choose pop. But I would suggest keeping the advanced start cost the same, and credit the lost food as gold 1:1 at the start.

I'm fine with either ignoring or converting to gold (but I also didn't choose pop)
