Krill Wrote:I know Cyneheard is slightly pissed about missing Theo by 1 turn, but I'm not sure if he gives a damn about hte central island.

He doesn't, but he's of the opinion (at the time of the post anyway) that Meatallz is offering the city due to overextension, where Meatballz says in his own thread that it's really a middle finger gesture to the person he knows orchestrated the (faileed) embargo. Probably an offer and snatch-back thing.

Meatballz is just trying to get something for nothing. The middle finger towards Cyneheard was proposing a deal that both knew was very much in Meatballz' advantage.

I'm really enjoying lurking this game right now, lots of interesting stuff going on.
I have to run.

Why didn't TT plant on the plains hill on the central island? huh

I wonder if Serdoa will tell MB about Cyneheard's offer

@Rowain Serdoa did, Meatbalz talked about it last post in his thread.

Question in general, was Tatan gunning for GLH when Meatbalz took it. I'm not really following Tatan, just keeping an eye on the thread recently due to impending war.
But from recent explanations of diplo messages it seems that Tatan is under the impression that Meatbalz stole that wonder, and that this is the sole reason for the anger against him (nad not fear of GLH commerce that Meatbalz thinks is).

Yep in his last update MB talked about it

Tatan was beat by 3-4 turns and has posted his desire to strangle whoever stole the GL under his nose several times in his thread

Is it just me or is Tatan being just a bit thick. He's allying himself with Cyneheard, who'll probably target him at some stage (ok us lurkers know that this is actually happening) while totally blanking Meatbalz who probably won't go after him until late in the game.

It's all a consequence of Serdoa allying with MB. Cyneheard is the player with a fair bit of influence, along with MB. Whoever out of those two that can organize a dogpile on the other in some form gets a head, specifically by being able to tech in peace and slave out all of the critical infrastructure.

I think Cyneheard will be making a mistake if he goes for Tatan tbh. He has the perfect units for stopping any aggression in 2 promo triremes, and the perfect choke tools. He could quite easily sell some of them to Tatan.

Nah I think Tatan has been gunning for Serdoa for a while now (I'm beginning to read back a bit). But from the looks of his last post, especially this bit:
Tatan Wrote:Macemen require iron, which Serdoa doesn't seem to have right now. But the longer he doesn't know that, the better! Even if I do get into a protracted war, what is he going to counter my mace/cat stacks with? X-bows and knights both require iron, and gunpowder is pretty far away.
Tatan is seriously undersetimating the amount of hurt that Serdoa is going tod do if he does attack (especially if it's as I first read it that Tatan believes that Serdoa doesn't know about macemen Iron requirement). While Serdoa is bluffing a bit, especially on cats, he will be able to turn the place into a bit of a meat grinder, well for long enough that Cyneheard will be able to dagger on turn 95.

Should Tatan not just have invaded Serdoa's city from the boat, razing it while there was just a single warrior defending? I presume he wanted to capture the city, and it's easier to say in hindsight, but it looks like it would have been the better option (although I'm not sure what's in the city that might make it worth keeping).
