And that, folks, is why you play them out . I never thought you'd gas sooooo before Dreylin gassed MH, but now you have a legitimate chance of winning this game.

Darrell Thanks Darrell. But I'm not there yet. I have about 17 infantry outside Sparta but I would be surprised if any of them had more than 20 hit points left. And now I have no medic to heal them either. I did get 2 GGs last turn (1 during Sooooo's set and 1 during mine) but I am not going to use them for medics.
So - while I think I have to be careful, I cannot let Sooooo get back up off the mat. In hind sight, teching democracy while at war was probably stupid. How I would love 1000g right now to upgrade my 14 rifles to infantry.
Edit: Wait a minute!! Quote:... but now you have a legitimate chance of winning this game
What do you mean by this comment?! I was always set to win this game. All I have to do now ( ) is wrap up Sooooo, convert his farms to cottages, swap to that civic that speeds cottage growth (name always escapes me), spread my Corp to all of my cities, set select cities to coin and tech like a banchee at 100% to space.
If Dreylin manages to wrap up mh and heads towards his cultural victory, then I can see some turns in the future where his legendary cities are in almost permanent spy revolt ... lets see him increase his culture in that situation!

Sparta falls. Sooooo withdrew his units. No battles fought this turn on either side. I moved all of my surviving units into Sparta including airlifting in a fresh tank from FF. Units promoted, 1 to Medic 1 and 1 to Woodie III (HA! didn't even know I had a Woodie II infantry). All set to heal - game says they will fully heal in 3 or 4 turns. Workers move in to rail road towards Sparta. Need to work out where to put down some forts for my air support.
I revolted to Nationhood and had a round of drafting. What better way to combat poisoned water at Death Valley than converting 2 population to 1 Infantry. I'll draft again next round and then revolt back to Bureaucracy.
I'll post more later tonight or tomorrow.

A new day dawned, and the Indian soldiers on watch were greeted with an empty city. The Greek defenders had pulled out over night. This was the first day in too long, far too long that didn't start with bombing, gunfire and death.
The Indians rolled into the city and claimed their prize ... but at what cost in both Indian and Greek lives. The city and the surrounding land was tinged with blood.
![[Image: rbpbem1010.jpg]](http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/9839/rbpbem1010.jpg)
The first duty was to see to the dead ... they all deserved a proper burial. The Indian soldiers worked through the morning, gathering the fallen from both sides and consigning them to the ground. During the late morning, Greek soldiers arrived, not ready for war, but to help with the burial requirements. After many hours of toil, prayers in both Toa and Confusism were heard across the land.
At the end, the two foes faced each other, knowing that they had all honoured their dead. There was ... an understanding. It was hard to say what it was that passed between the two forces ... there was too much history between these two nations for anything simple. However, both knew that, come the dawn, the struggle would continue.

Right - where to from here! Firstly, the Greek capital is a shell of its former self ...
Greek income is -20 at 10% science and hardly any military. The 17g (+200%) that they were getting from Sparta is no more.
Here is the next battle field ...
The first aim is to kill that city at #1 so that I remove the Greek culture controlling the access to Sparta. Aim #2 is to take the two cities marked #2. These are Sooooo's remaining hammer rich cities. To take these, I will have to bring forward some bombers and move my tanks plus support to red dot - that will force Sooooo to try and defend them both, or to sacrifice one for the other.
I am also buildng some paratroopers to launch another attack at his capital. Again, the aim is to force him to spread his resources too thin. I have workers railing towards Sparta. I will also be bringing in more workers for forts so that my bombers can reach the '#2' cities.
I have 2 Morale promoted tanks - they can move 4 tiles in Sooooo's territory. These could be very powerful weapons but I want to make sure that I get full value for them.

How does the Cristo Redentor work? Could you draft each turn but spend each interturn in Bureaucracy? Or would that not work, since it would require two revolts per turn?

You could once do it this way but they have patched it since so nowaday you have 1 revolt/turn

My understanding is that I have zero turns in revolt (ie spiritual) and I can change my civics / religion once each and every turn.
T0
Swap to nationhood
Draft
End Turn
T1
Draft
Swap to Bureaucracy
End Turn
Two turns of drafting for the cost of 1 turn out of Bureaucracy.
