Not like full diplo uelps either Brick.

It wouldn't guarantee it, but it would at least make it possible. Not that I'm advocating full diplo being used again, just acknowledging its use in this particular circumstance.

I think the CV wins; this is actually the main reason why I thought that increasing the thresholds for CV was necessary, but increasing them by 100% did seem over the top. Not entirely sure if it is even a problem or not any more, which is why I'm interested in seeing how they try to pull it off. I suppose a better way to try and balance it if it were a problem is limit the amount of cathedrals that can be built in a given city.

I'm sorry to bring this up for novice's sake, but...we tried that before, and it didn't work frown There is always someone that will give trade routes away, in this instance it would be scooter and Pindicator, and maybe Space.

I don't see how Lewger can win, I mean it's admirable that they're trying and all, but this is a pretty crappy map for a CV

Yeah I think the point was more that someone will probably have to intervene militarily to stop it, and Plako might have to do it himself. He should be able to, though.
I have to run.

Would even that diversion be enough to pull Serdoa/Com back into contention? I don't know, especially given how infrequently Serdoa updates. Also, will the Zulu attack do any damage to Com? I personally think not so much, and it will make it that much easier for him to digest their island, and be stronger 20t after conquest...but enough to catch Plako IF Plako has to grind down Lewger's culture attempt? Not sure. Certainly concession at this point seems a bit premature in that context.

Grrrr I'm supposed to be the only one with defeatist talk, not the ones that actually have a chance to win here, even if they're not in the lead.

I wrote my previous comment before seeing this. That GNP is surely intended as serving notice to all the other players that this game is well and truly done.

Plako isn't even running 100% science (and hasn't for some time). Don't know why he wants to camouflage his GNP. Seems that would be more useful in a close game.
Global lurker smile ; played in Civ VI PBEM 4, 5, 15; DL suboptimal Civ VI PBEM 17

If I were Comm I'd basically ignore Lewwyn, let Plako attack (because Plako is the only other competitor), and then pounce on Plako while distracted.
