Turn 063
I had an old roommate who went to Georgia. Nice guy
I had 'Sheed take out the barbarian on the wheat. 92% so I figured let's keep the axe on the road network just in case. He'll kill the barb next turn.
Guess who's the new #1 in crop yield?
I think it may be better for us to build a few extra land units after this next settler. I really would like something to our north to warn of incoming British Seacaptains

I'll play the turn later, but wanted to see if anything was up with the new turn.

Oh, I thought the event log just had it backwards.
Edit: On second thought, looks like 'Sheed was up by double digits at the time, maybe the event log is right after all.

Turn 064
Let's kill that pesky warrior.
Flawless victory. Just 1xp of course, but we'll get ourselves a shiny promotion if that other barb advances like I expect. Pindicator and I chatted, and we figure the benefits of trading maps with Commodore outweight the drawbacks, so we sent this:
Would really, really like to know if he's on a tiny peninsula or he has other avenues of exploration. While we're on the topic of foreign nations, what in the name of sanity is Nakorester doing?
2 cities on T64?! Well surely they're rushing someo-
Oh. So they have built 1 settler and like an axe or something. That has to be a bad Henge fail or something, otherwise I have not the slighest clue what they're doing. Pindicator commented that "they'll make a great addition to our empire in 40 turns" which seems pretty likely to be an accurate statement. We shall see. Anyway, pindicator is doing a really nice job of keeping our worker turns nice and tightly managed:
Pretty standard stuff, but if there's some green players lurking this thread - setups like this are really nice. We needed to transition a worker from Orioles to Bulldogs, so we put a worker turn into the mine on the way up. Next turn we complete the pasture, then both workers put a turn into the mine again while switching to the rice. In a couple turns we basically get a free mine just by virtue of having a road in place. Anyway, here's our little empire. Resource bubbles off so you can see city details:
I'm starting to feel optimistic about the state of the game, so that means Commodore's 2 axes will be at our borders tomorrow.

Very nicely done.

Scooter, I did change our slider to 0%.
Also, slightly offtopic, I find it funny that the rest of the nation is using the pac12 refs as a talking point. Wasn't it common knowledge that we have the worst officials in the nation? I've known it for at least a decade

Well then. Logged into the game and was greeted by this hot steaming mess:
Here's an old picture to remind you of how exposed this city plant is:
They settled a mile away from his capital, and since he's hooked copper (they have an axe according to the power graph), he didn't settle north with his first plant sooo... Yeah we can't let this stand. So we have a few units in the vicinity. Like I said, the power graph suggests they have 1 axe I believe. I would assume they would bring it with such an aggressive plant. So how about we grab both of our axes and go kill this thing?
We could consider letting them grow it to size 2 and then capturing it. Worth some consideration - save us a settler anyway. Here's the furthest of our 2 axes:
Pindicator - any thoughts?
