Scouting underway:
Further reports from BGN indicate the garrison at Memory Rock to be "a single archer."

Why didn't you accept the peace deal then declare war in a further 10 turns?

To go with the seven horse archers in rechristened Sisu Holy City (Suttree, Knoxville was ok!) Suttree has 600 gold in the bank and is in anarchy so he won't generate any additional revenue this turn. HA upgrades to cuirassiers cost 170 gold each, so he can upgrade three.

Because we hate so much? What does it matter if we finish third or sixth?

Sooo... remaining to play this turn: Suttree, us, and Oxy. Oxy played right after Suttree last turn and would be eligible to declare war on him this turn if he wanted to. Maybe we'll see some North Korean intervention? Still waiting on Suttree before we can play.

With apologies to everyone hoping for a bloody razing campaign, it looks like Suttree accepted our five city counter offer for peace. BGN can post details when he logs in to play. I guess this changes our plans. We need more muskets now and as many galleys as Revival can whip! Oh, and several settlers to grab old Sisubistan.

For me, it came down to Memory Rock, the city that suttree culture bombed earlier in the game. I didn't want to take a mess that was going to be culturally dominated forever. So I made our bargaining position as aggressive as I could toward Memory Rock while still laying some credible claim to being able to take other cities. Here's what that looked like.
I roughly chopped our stack into two even strength smaller stacks, with a slight preference for pinch in the east and formation in the west to counter suttree's 8 HAs in Sisu Holy City. He could promote 3 to cuirs before we could take the city, but they wouldn't be able to attack us as cuirs if we moved in immediately. I'm not certain of success in taking all four cities that we could threaten, but waiting plays to his advantage and I feel like we're playing with house money here since we aren't going to win. Positioned thus, our request was this:
Suttree did this:
Oh no, he whipped/drafted. Oh well, war then. But Xenu hit me up on chat and I looked again. We got a score INCREASE too, I missed that before... Wait, wuh?. Oh yesss...

PEACE!!
Oxy, we owe you a refund, you got cheated if you went to war.
I'll log in and play when I get a chance. This turn just got significantly shorter, which is the best news of all.

Crap, I thought you had demanded his cash too. We're gonna need it soon.
So...on to the invasion of England? That usually works, right?

Hoping for a little more bloodshed from the rightfully wronged. Still that 30 unit wipe out was impressive. Kudos.
