Wait, we're declaring now? I thought there was a lot of time left (even waiting until after Currency)? I don't know how much I agree with this--I've been way too passive in other games though, so I'm probably not a good resource for this
You won't get any WW on him; you don't incur any while fighting in your own lands, and obviously if he's fighting in our lands (or even neutral) we have bigger problems than his happiness.

I wanted to wait until Currency (or at least horses), but Jowy's really been pulverizing Mardoc - he only has three cities, and one of those was just founded a couple of turns ago. If we wait too long he can just finish off AM and have all of his big army sitting on our border to ward off anything we could throw a
I'm hoping that Jowy's incurred some WW from fighting in AM's territory. Declaring now means delaying AM's demise which means more unhappiness for him. He will be able to build Forges for +1 Happines from Silver though.

I wonder what's going on with Whosit...it almost makes me want to peek at the lurker thread.
If a reload to a previous turn is needed that would trip us up and I might need to scuttle plans for attacking Jowy; I only have/had chance to capture Nilfgaard if he wasn't expecting it, there's no way my Archers and Axes could get through a real garrison of Aggressive Vultures. I'll hold off on talking about the war turns I played until more news comes.

If a reload is needed it's expected that Jowy's moves remain the same, and that ours do as well--has there been any combat yet in what you've played?

No combat, no - and it turns out that I only had to replay this last turn so it was no big deal to make the same moves again.
So here's the deal in the east:
There's three Shock and one Medic Archer in the east stack; the Axes in the west are both City Raiders. Plan is to suicide the un-Barracked Archers first, then send in the Axemen, then the Shock Archers.
Over by Mange itself, Jowy's recalled his barb-slaying Vulture to threaten Mange after I sent all the military except for the Spear away. But I don't have anything to worry about; this turn I chopped the forest on the tile 1N of Mange to get an Archer in there, and next turn I can whip a second Archer, so that one Vulture isn't going to do very much other than capture a Worker.

So I was checking Axe/Archer odds vs. Jowy's Vultures in Nilfgaard (they were awful) and misclicked a group of 7 units into suiciding. Not going to bother asking for a reload, that was my own dumbass fault.
On the non-idiotic-mistakes side, I founded the Horses city; will have the horses hooked up in two turns. Maybe Chariots will save me when Jowy comes knocking.

We lost 7 units for nothing? If you don't reload, that's certainly game over (and probably game over for the rest of the civs, unless someone else conquered their continent by T100).

In future you could use ALT to check combat odds without risk...

4 Vultures IIRC. I was thinking of moving onto his Deer to pillage it or heading straight back to Mange until I could get Chariots going, but I was curious to see if it was even theoretically possible to take Nilfgaard.
But now I'm going to have to switch to pure military builds to make up for my mistake, maybe whip out Archers in my hammer cities. I might be able to hold Mange depending on how soon Jowy sends his Vultures after it and how many.
