With regards to the overflow, the reason I was asking is I couldn't remember if it was the item build cost, or the previous turns overflow which was the cap level.
As it is I think I traded 3 hammers for 3 gold, nothing that really matters.
With regards to the stables food, I forlornly checked to see if hte food was allocated at turn roll and it wasn't, which puts me in the position to ask the following:
- If this is normal functioning (ie Charriu etc states so), play on with no change and I eat the lurker mistake.
- If this is a bug and is trivial to correct, please can it be corrected? The food is obviously helpful in Raspberry but it was the entire reason I planted Fig, a city with no two food tiles, and nothing that can be irrigated.
- If this is a bug and is not trivial to correct, please can Ramk remove both stables from Raspberry and Fig and replace them with barracks, which is what I would have built instead (and cost slightly fewer hammers).
I think this is reasonable to ask, but obviously relies on lurkers being in agreement, but then some of these actions were predicated on lurkers answering a mechanics question.

I would ping Charriu and find out first whether or not this is a bug, if you want to expedite this. Your asks seem reasonable, but I have no idea if it's actually a bug or not and would want something more definitive than educated guesses.

I'm not really bothered either way tbh. Not like I'm trying to play a perfect game. I don't really want anyone to go out of their way to implement a fix, if one is needed.

Yikes - if it's somehow not a bug, you have my apologies! To the best of my knowledge, every event (quest or otherwise) that says "All your X get Y" applies both to every X you have at the time and every X you build thereafter. (I'm not at all sure it works on buildings in gifted or conquered cities, but stables never survive conquest of a city anyway, and I believe free event promotions don't work on units you get by gift or upgrade, but none of that applies here.) So either there's some bug, maybe to do with a change in gamestate due to a reload or other hot-fix (or something else I haven't thought of) - or I'm wrong about that rule and didn't realize!

This isn't true, but is this a bug or intended design? Stables was built at end of turn.

This looks to be a bug for me.

I've thought about it, and ultimately I don't think I care enough to even ask for an intervention. That said, I would like to suggest a new scale for the Realms Beyond MP games. I have not come up with a name, but essentially it is the anti-Ottawwa scale: 0-10 on what is the "best" worst none size 1 city. Inspired byt Fig:
I think that after an AGG barracks it will finish an archer, and then onto catapults. It might, if I feel I can get away with it, build a 12 turn ziggarut.
Beyond this, I can't even change tiles without starving the city until Civil Service.

In terms of the best Civ 3 economy, I don't think anyone's topped TBS in PB31. That had un nerfed Genghis/Zulu, all of the monk economy wonders, and even a shrine, and terrain that was 50% tundra / plain / desert hills.

So, Pindicator just declared on Thoth and Commodore razed SDs' coastal city.
I'm still top power (just about) with Pindi second, and trying to right the economy (essentially I need forge happy in a couple of cities and can't whip units without causing significant long term damage).
I've decided to try for a very low odds GM from Pear, as a possible Civil Service bulb, something like 8% chance, which speeds up the great person to eot123 so I should find out tomorrow what happens. Still looking at over 50% chance of a Great Spy, so exploring is very much on the table.
Tech path at this point is just saving gold on Sailing until the great person lands to figure out what to do. I probably have to go to Calendar despite not wanting to, just improving the silk and two dye helps the economy out not just from alleviating happy issues but the commerce matters, even to me. Thoth is about to finish HBR T123, Commodore is slowly getting to Currency eot124. Pindi is probably losing gold at max tax.
I think at this point I just need to be wary of Commodore trying to keep superdeaths cities, and if Pindi will come back for a third attack once the peace treaty expires T129 (I doubt it, the war with Thoth looks real with teh whips from Thoth and the timing). I don't think this is the right time to invade SD, as Commodore could knock on the door T127 and that might make PIndi reconsider. I think I want to lie inert for a little bit and prepare the ground work, like settling the Lemon site to open up a route to superdeath and deal with the barb city that spawned exactly where I want to settle for teh deer and silk.
