History Continues
The Pharaoh watched the approach from afar, standing in his ceremonial chariot as he was known to do. He had given the order to engage the enemy once again, and soon the battle would commence.
The surviving Khmer army had dug itself in. The city of Rhenish was now a fortress where beaten and exhausted Khmer soldiers had gained new hope with the arrival of their Ethiopian allies. They would fight. Even against the numerically superior Egyptian army, that was known to never have suffered a military defeat. They could not reatreat forever, or their entire empire would surely be lost to the renown dictator. This was the moment of truth.
And then everything went black...
Sandover woke up on a deserted hill, surrounded by the purest of nature.
"Oh, not again... Darrell!? WTF are you smoking? We did this once already!"
A voice spoke to him from afar. It was not the voice of Darrell.
"I am Plako, Shaper of Worlds. You have been selected to found a civilization and lead it to stand the test of time."
"But I already did that! Where is Darrell?"
"Darrell, Creator of World, has been... demoted. Too much being drunk on the job. Did you not see that underwater forest?"
"Oh yeah, I do remember that one."
"I have been tasked with reshaping his faulty creations, and have done so with your world. You have been spared, however, as your previous work was most impressive. This is a second chance for you - do not disappoint me."
"And scooter is rotting in hell, I pressume?"
A massive use of expletives ensued as the divine being explained to the Pharaoh that scooter's life had also been spared, and that he was given a new civilization to command (poorly).
"One last thing before I leave.", said Plako. "I have brough someone along to aid you."
A lone man came stumbling up the hill, wearing nothing but a loincloth and a wooden club. Truly a sad look for anyone unlucky enough to gaze upon him.
"Hi mate! It's me, Darrell! I suppose you're in charge this time?"

Turn 0
Nothing too exciting about this start. Average food, average amount of forests, average commerce potential and weak production potential.
Being philosophical, my nr. 1 choice for a capital would be a production city to build wonders. That's not happening here.
As nr.2 I'd want a classic floodplain city (high food, high commerce, low production) or possibly something similar. This isn't even close.
A bay to my north, desert and plains to my east, jungle to my south and... Oh, hello there Mr. Floodplain!
Now that is much closer to what I had in mind!
I'm last in play order (following after Serdoa and passing the save to Scooter), so it's easy to tell that Serdoa and I are the ones not founding on turn 0. Looks like everyone got a landlocked start, going by the demographics.
Oh, and I did remember to select a tech as to not waste that one free beaker, in case you're wondering.

Already 42 posts in scooter's thread. Poor guy must think he has a chance to win this.
Turn 4
I'm doing a double worker start provided no one show up to mess with me. It's high sea level but on a standard map there should be some privacy anyway. There's also no barbarians and prince difficulty so I want to expand hard.
Heading for bronze working first, since that tech is just so damn good.
Darrell has found a good place for a GP-farm or moai city up at the northern coast, and is currently heading west. My southwest is also coastal.

Gaspar's capital to size two on t4.
Lewwyn discovered a tech on t4. Mining? What civ was he playing again? It's probably mining, unless he started with it.
I think Gaspar is Maya, scooter Byzantium. Someone is Mongolia, and then there's one more civ. Damn, gotta check up on what combos the others are playing at some point.

Looking at the t0 screen shot I can tell Serdoa is Mongolia, and Lewwyn is... green. Ottomans I think?
fin/spi Byz
fin/cha Otto
fin/agg Mong
exp/ind Maya
I'm pretty sure I nailed it.
