I'll be up north at my inlaws this weekend. I was able to use phone as hotspot though last time I was there, so should be fine.

May affect turn pace.

Sorry to keep you guys waiting, I know we should be playing twice per day. A new lockdown has been announced for Melbourne and I've been trying to organise everything all day. I'm a bit frazzled because the last one was awful (long story involving a remarkably hostile flatmate) and there's just a lot going on. I'll be able to get my turn tonight, in about 4-5 hours from now. Sincere apologies.

On the plus side, I'll be stuck at home without much else to do other than play my turns for the next few weeks at least. wink

People don't think they need it because we've had zero community transmission for ~6 months. This is also the reason it's spreading so quickly once it got out - people are acting like they can't catch it, and to their knowledge that was technically true.

The government (Federal) has also badly screwed up the distribution, such that we hit <25% of our target by May. I'm not actually allowed to get it yet, for example. Finally certain news sites have been praying upon the elderly with hysterical articles about the blood-clotting thing, which is just depressing. "VACCINE RISK HIGHER THAN COVID" stuff which is just blatantly untrue, and had a tangible effect on vaccination rates. Although now people are fully on the vaccine train again, because it could affect them personally. rolleye But that's where the shitty distribution comes in. We don't expect to have the majority of people vaccinated until the end of the year. 

The guy who started this outbreak caught the virus while leaving his hotel quarantine, having received a negative test the same day. So it's not even his fault that he spread it, since as far as he knew he was confirmed 'safe.' Just really unlucky on everyone's end. frown
