I'm still alive!
Seriously, it's T88 and my Svartalfar still haven't been rushed!
Overview:
I'll be settling two more cities in the next few turns:
- one at the "c" near the Warriors outside of my borders, grabbing Pigs and Cows
- one at the filler spot in the SE
Writing will be researched in two turns, coinciding with the birth of my second GP of the game, who will be used for a GA.
I'm building some Warriors as I wait for Libraries to become available, who will be sent to the Barb city once Bronze Working is in.
The demo's:
Still behind the leaders, but I'm gaining.

T90 played, and I have fired my first Golden Age, using a Sage born last turn.
I have founded two new cities (yes I still need to rename them!), and apart from them, all of my cities will start production on a Library either this turn or next.
I have also switched to Leaves, only one city has it so far, but right now I'm more interested in getting some Ancient Forests going.
I will run two turns of max gold, finish a couple of Libraries, and then switch to max science for four turns, which should allow me to get Bronze Working and Warfare, and do the civics switch I've been talking about before.
I'm tempted to grab the Great Library, but the Bone Palace would be nice to have as well...
Kemet has the most specialist slots, so will run them during this Golden Age:
Once that Library finishes I can run another Sage, and should be able to get another great person by the time the GA has run its course.
As my new Palace will finish at the end of the turn, here's a look at finances before completing it:
Over fifty gold city maintenance!
Ok, so what happens after?
About ten gold saved, not a lot, but considering all of the new cities will go north or west of the new Capital, I think it has been a good investment.

It's Darrell. He's outside your window.

Well, if you want, we can call him Darrellon:
Yes, that Griffon has been on the same time since T72! Coincidence? I think not!
A barb animal would have moved by now, wouldn't it? What I don't understand, is why would you use a captured Griffon to just sit outside of the borders of a rival civ? I mean, it only took me twenty turns to realise it...
In any case, I will be upgrading my Scout to a Hunter next turn, and soon that Griffon will be mine!
In other news:
Double Ancient Forest growth baby!
I switched on research this turn, and two more Libraries have finished at the end of the turn:

Iceland will be harder to cross than I thought. One could be very nasty by Springing one of those Deserts surrounding the Ice, allowing those Ice Demons to cross into the Civilized World.
Three Ancient Forests in a turn at the same city! Good, that will compensate for the lost food once I switch from Agrarianism to Conquest.

T94 greets me with a reassuring sound:
Bronze Working is in, Warfare selected as next tech.
Up north, that Griffon has finally moved, closer to my borders, maybe hoping for a cheap Worker snatch?
Workers will finish a road section indicated by the "x" next turn, and that Hunter should be able to take out Darrellon without a problem. Incidently, that road section allows me to connect to a pre-placed road, which I'll use to bring escorts and a Settler in position at red dot.

Are you going to rename the griffon after you capture it?
And why didn't you keep the hunter one tile back? Hunters naturally have two moves...

Well, I'm going to use it to explore the north, where I believe I will find the other players around the circle sea. Unless I'm mistaken, even if keep the Hidden Nationality of the Griffon, I will get contact with the players once I reach their borders, so I'll probably just rename it.

The Griffon can't see my Hunter (it's on flatland). I'm building a road as shown on the screenshot in my last post, which means that even if the Griffon moves 2NW, my Hunter can leisurely stroll along the newly created Northern Highway and take out the Griffon. :hat:
