Imagine how reassured our opponents are by our own lack of military whips.

Early in the turn, and none of us have logged in yet. I made a long post yesterday starting this new brouhaha by bemoaning the lack of military buildup, but there's nothing we can do now about last turn. We'll make sure this turn that we use our full compliment of drafts and get cats queued up, and we'll just have to hope it's enough.
We also need more spies. Currently, Poly and CivPlayers know our exact troop composition, but we are totally blind on their units....

What is the use of counterespionage for CivPlayers against us? Does it make our counter espionage more expensive. We barely have enough to run a counter espionage...

They detect or Spies at a higher clip as well, maybe they want to keep us from seeing their stack.

Do we know who spawned St. Peter (Prophet) in 1000 AD? Apolyton just built the Taoist shrine but the last spawned Prophet is St. Peter. It shouldn't take eight turns for the prophet to travel across their territory - I expect the GP was spawned by someone else (perhaps CivPlayers whom we didn't have much visibility on) and they traded for Apolyton's Scientist (Xi Ling Shi) spawned in 1010 AD.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)
Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone.
I'm pretty sure it was CivPlayers who got the T160 prophet, so yes, it's likely that Apolyton traded to CivPlayers for their prophet.
Going through the tech situation, but it's slow going with the heat wave going over here right now (at least someone kept the tech tables up to date up to T164/165 - thanks for that). In tech, we have the following: WPC picked up HBR on T166 (at least they researched it before Apolyton and Univers ).Apolyton researched Aesthetics T165, and have now picked up Literature and Drama. I've put Literature on T166 and Drama T167, but it can easily be the other way around. I guess they will head for Military Tradition next, needing HBR and Music. CivFr picked up Gunpowder T167, and got a Great Scientist T165. CivPlayers stole Nationalism T166, and picked up Music T167. They're probably headed for Military Tradition as well, but they will need Gunpowder to unlock the cuirassiers. CFC researched Gunpowder on T163 and then one-turned Chemistry on T164, as Sullla noted. They're likely headed for Steel, and have turned on their research now. They also got a Great Scientist this turn. Next turn will be the last one of their golden age. Univers researched Polytheism, either T166 or T167. Noting down T167 for now. Must be one of the latest dates ever for that tech.

I'm swamped with work, so my C&D is still not up to speed (the tracking of builds and buildings has not been restarted). I though't I'd show you the screen shots I currently take every turn, however. Warning for lots of big-ass images:
The main news this turn from this is that Univers picked up HBR. Note also how low our population statistic is currently, compared to us having the most civizens in the game, and that our approval rate and life expectancy are the highest in the game.
