If that is the case, the next civ is probably 14-17 tiles to the south, probably slightly west of us. Makes sense we wouldn't have any contact yet, because we haven't scouted there at all, so if they sent their warrior, they wouldn't have reached us yet, and the scout would've needed to head more or less straight north.

Any reason I cannot send the big "Overall shot" from Lewwyn's Turn 12 post to the Pirates?

Ahem.

Moved the warrior SW because it left more options for next turn. Revealed nothing.

Scout I went NE-NW. Some pretty nice land there. I hope we find someone we don't like soon otherwise I'm going to advocate attacking the Pirates just based on wanting their land.

Worker birthed and moved to the Deer. We camp next turn.

Comments:
  • Is the current microplan written down somewhere? While I thought working a 3 food tile and growing on a warrior was obvious enough, I was at least sufficiently unsure that I debated playing the turn or not for a bit. Not because I think I'm wrong, but I know my Civ-brain doesn't work at all like Krill's or Lewwyn's. Its either that or stick basically to one turnplayer, which doesn't seem very democracy like.
  • This is seriously the greenest map I've ever seen. Just grassland and food everywhere.
  • I changed our civ details to TEAM for everything.
  • I'd probably go SW with the warrior next turn, since catching the rest of that corner isn't as important as getting the rest of the more immediate area scouted. Probably also SW with the scout to see if there's anything behind the Pirate capital, though if we're swapping SS later, this isn't the world's most important scouting.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I don't think so.

I don't think we have it written down but the next few turns should be fairly simple - Max food and camp the deer, then move 1N, road/cancel, then move to the Sheep and pasture. After that we need to have a think but I'd argue we want to move to the PH and mine it - obviously tech would be AH->Min->BW.

The reason for going to the PH to mine is that our worker is in a better position to chop/move to the 2nd city than if we go to any of our GLH's and the output is the same whilst building workers/settlers. Discuss.

Irrigate the sugar for a food resource for second city.

Yeah. This start is really straightforward.

Camp deer>half road>pasture sheep>farm sugar

After that either chop for second worker or to the wheat to farm. Depends... But the next 5 turns are easy. After we grow to 2 we'll have to make a decision.
