I guess I could settle pretty securely 1SW from bananas since based on HAK's borders I think he can't settle anywhere in the region after that and eventually I should be able to secure the iron. This way I would also get Fish city almost certainly. Not ideal 2-3 city front, but better than settling wasteland in the north.

[SPOILERS] Meh. Plako organizing mess

Trying to figure this out. Pretty hard desicions. I can't yet log in, but I probably won't settle in a hurry in the southern jungle. HAK probably does that, but short term all cities there would be pretty low value and require lot of resources to become profitable. Nevertheless I'll try to harass him a bit to make the settling a bit more challenging and if he comes settling too close I might get profitable opportunities to attack.
I'll send the settler to the island and next settler I'll get in couple of turns will be used to settle between Iron and Copper that also gives me reasonable border towards Xenu. I just need walls there fast.
And changed my mind again
. I'll settle SW from the Bananas. The combination of HAK being weaker now and copper being soon online should make it alright and enable improving some tiles.

So HAK had left his workers unprotected so I had to take them. This reveals city and Chariot. Now I probably should disband those workers. I feel a bit bad since quite evidently HAK is pretty green in this. Sitting on Iron with Axe and Spear just isn't an option when you've also 2 unprotected workers there and he moved also settler where his Axe and Spear are. This city really isn't worth all this hassle for him.
Yeah, delete the workers, no way the archer survives three (or maybe even four if he delays the settling) attacks. And it would be extremely difficult to get the workers back home anyway.

Most likely he will still attack the archer, because he is foolish and sees the archer as a transgressor on his land. So the archer will likely still kill one, quite possibly two units on defense, while he's still got a crappy jungled iron city with no workers in sight.

Yeah - I disbanded the workers. I could have taken the middle road and kept one. Well now I face a pretty intresting situation. HAK settled his city in the beginning of his turn. I've Shock Archer there and all the rest of the units involved are unpromoted. HAK has Spear and Axe in the city. I've another Archer + 2* Chariots around it and also my own settler is there. What should I do? Try to raze it or what?
There are also 2*Swordman visible in the picture. I'll probably pillage the road with the westernmost Archer.
Concerning the city my 1st instict was to leave the city alone. It won't do much for HAK for a long time and I've better places to settle for my settler. However after thinking about it attacking feels better. The goal should obvivously be to attack Axe with the Chariots and Spear with Archer and especially with Shock Archer that will get good odds. Therefore the right way to do is to throw unpromoted Archer against the Axe. If it gets 2 or more hits in, the defender against Shock Archer will change to Spear. This also brings pretty natural escape sequence, if Archer gets 0-1 hits in I need to cancel otherwise I can proceed with Shock archer against Spear and again if it fails and Chariots won't get good odds against wounded Spear I need to cancel the rest of the attack. This is the theory. Now I try what happens in practice .
Archer goes in with 5.2% odds. wohoo - Wounds Thor (Axe) to 0.5 health.
So Shock Archer is next 69.1% odds and it gets a kill only 0.7 health left. Now I've easy task to finish the city with a Chariot. Then shoud I settle the city now that I see those Swords approaching. I can be pretty certain that he can't get settler in the area very fast so in principle I could postpone. Since that city won't do anything great for quite a while. There aren't even forested tile on the BFC of that city. At least I could now chop the jungle above the Bananas to get maginificent 3 yield tile .
