This is ultimately why TT doesn't really get any better. He doesn't make much of the early turns, rarely reporting them well and not taking feedback. Whether that's due to him being busy or still having a bad taste in his mouth from PBEM3 which is the only time he's reported well, there's no question that a well-reported spoiler thread is an excellent opportunity for learning and improvement that he misses out on. The best players don't need this, but TT by his own admission is not one of those.
The other issue is he just starts "mashing enter" a bit without thinking in situations like this. And I'm guessing SL has checked out? Because as you said, there's no reason whatsoever to be training a settler for city 3 and/or teching Meditation when you're getting choked by 2 civs and scouted by a 3rd.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

SL is really busy atm, we are playing a 2 player game atm with a pace of about a turn per 3 days. Hence I think googly is all TT right now

No pulling the wool over Parkin's eyes, is there? I hope I haven't done more harm than good by querying TT's strategy. I tend to stay out of player threads for just this reason .

It's a little early for this game, but I see strong potential for several players to become dominant in the later game.
They are:
Sunrise - OMFGHAX Start
Team FFH - Lot's of land to expand into, no close neighbors
Lewwyn - Ditto
Plako - Lots of land to expand into, a large offshore island, less skilled neighbors.
MackSeven - Lot's of land to expand into, one easily defensible front, less-skilled neighbor.
Other players with potentially strong positions are Sleepingmoogle and Pindicator. However, I don't read SM as a strong enough player to fully capitalize on his advantages, and Pindicator is located in a geographic backwater that will probably prevent him from attaining much.
LP has a fascinating and potentially really strong position. He has terrible land, but a neighbor that is screwing up his start badly. I see Team Googly falling to a combined ASM + Parkin offensive at some point. Then LP will have awesome land to expand into, less skilled neighbors on either side, and two easily defensible fronts.
So, just for the hell of it, I'm going to predict that MackSeven or possibly Parkin win this game. MackSeven were my pick based purely on skill before seeing the map, and given their geopolitical position, they should become the major power in this game unless they botch things badly.

sunrise isn't good enough. Unless T-hawk guides him closely, he'll lose out eventually.

Moogle doesn't play in many of these games, but he's talented. He won one of the PBEMs here.

I think Moog's solid, but not quite outstanding. If he stays interested, I think he'll do pretty well.

I'd be stunned if MackSeven didn't win this game, simply because they are the best players in it by a decent shout and just got 2 sets of land. I think Sunrise, despite his unbelievably good start is hurt a little bit by the fact that he borders Mali played by competent players. I think they'll cancel each other out a bit. Sunrise might not be that good, but he's probably good enough to jump out to a lead given just how good a situation he has. And obviously if T-hawk is doing half his micro, well all the more.
I think the only other two I could see winning are Parkin and Plako, again due to great situations in terms of inept neighbors. But I guess ultimately before the game ever started you'd have thought it might come down to those three.
Krill, for the love of all that is holy, will you play against Seven one of these days?

No offense to Moogle, but speaking as a mid-level player, he's a mid-level player. He just happened to be fortunate enough to play a game with a bunch of other mid-level players and TT in his capitulation phase.
I actually think the games full of mid-level players are the most interesting - PBEM3, PBEM7, PBEM14. Always nice when a field contains no superpowers.

I'm not quite ded-lurking (obviously if I'm posting here), but nothing I've said involves any spoilers from what other players are doing (which I'm hardly paying attention to anyway.)
