I actually think the games full of mid-level players are the most interesting - PBEM3, PBEM7, PBEM14. Always nice when a field contains no superpowers.

I agree, unlike elite players games it's often difficult to tell early who will triumph in a mid-level match, but unlike many of the greens games the suspense isn't due to rampant player incompetence (or "confusion", if you're feeling charitable).



Mid-level players also on whole seem better about updating their threads, or at least making interesting reports. Moogle's zen-like pictures-only thread was a fantastic example of engaging reporting which required minimal player effort.

MackSeven have to be the favorites here. Sunrise's start is easily the best, but yeah, I question whether he can use it as well as he should. Still, he's good enough that he should be one of the leaders for awhile.

compared to the difficulty built into the game, like prince, monarch and so on, where would you place the tiers for people on this site?

you talk about green, mid-level and elite, what difficulty are we talking about is what im trying to say. im asking so that i can get an indication of where i would be, i tend to beat prince 60percent of the time or so at the moment. i guess that is green?

Yes.

EDIT: Just to expand on that monosyllabic response. It's not really possible to tie skill directly to difficulty levels, since beating Deity requires very different skills to MP. I'd imagine most mid level players can beat immortal with a little luck and have a pretty easy time on Emperor, although that really tells only a little of the story. If you're having trouble with Prince, then you definitely need to improve your micro and macro skills more. Most "mid-level" players would find you easy prey, let alone people like Krill and Mackoti.
