I'll take and post another picture of the lands we've uncovered after the turn rolls, as borders will pop to reveal an amazing 7 new tiles. But I might as well say now that I think the other front city against dtay should be the grass hill 3 of the western rice. It gives a straight forward border, gets us the banana and wet rice and shares the sugar with the second city. Probably a decent fourth city or so from the second city (which has so much food it could build a settler at size 4 with food hammers).

Yeah I think we'll end up settling there, even though it will be onemoveable from the city that dtay's bound to settle NW of the gold.
I guess the plains hill 1E of your suggestion is an alternative.
I have to run.
Screenshots from this turn.
novice, I'm a bit hesitant with settling on the north western plains hill, it potentially gives dtay a method of running fast movers down the coast of that sea. I'd normally feel more sure with settling on the grass hill and using walls, spears and a couple of bowmen to act as a deterrent long term. That, and focusing on culture in what is a hammer heavy city (if it were not go the location it's potentially a good mid game HE placement).
Which plains hill are you talking about? The one west of the sugar or the "city 2" hill?
Does the pig change anything?
I have to run.
Updated sandbox:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1521...dSwordSave I'm not sure the pig changes much for our current plans. It does make it possible to go Hunting->Archery and delay Fishing->Pottery, and settle aggressively towards the northwest. Probably not that wise.
I have to run.
Yeah settling the north west is suicidal imo. I don't think the pig changes anything though it is nice to see. I wqs talking about the plains hill west of sugar for a NW city.
New city, revolted to slavery whilst moving settler, moved warrior emailed you picture. Settled after ending turn.
Just waiting on azza for turn roll.
warrior movement options are 1, 2 or 3. I dislike 3 because it gives unnecessary information, coastal tiles that we cannot fit into a dot map. 2 is on a hill but delays scouting west, but will give better vision of the south of the copper for potential food resources. 1 would be ideal if we just want to move the warrior north west to go and protect the settler, but as the settler is moving straight north and we already have a warrior covering that route. I think I prefer moving the warrior 21 onto what looks to be a plains hill just under the FoW, and then moving NW to uncover FoW as efficiently as possible. You think anything differently novice? |
