New Fall from Heaven II PBEM

I would quite like some sort of oddity... I've come up with two suggestions.

Blessings of Amathaon. It's bugged in the normal game, but I would quite like to see a PBEM with super lush terrain and resources.

Mega-mana. Lots and lots of mana nodes placed around the map, but all of them are already flavoured. No raw mana nodes of any sort and probably a ban on picking Amurites.

I would probably prefer less out there options, but don't have a strong issue if we go for anything like the above

I'd mostly prefer just playing a normal-ish game but I'm okay with gimmicks if other people want them

Creates situations where many resources don't spawn.

Actually, i'd like to step in as Hyboerm should that ever come.

Also i think it would be fun if the lurkers get to choose what the players get to be.
Each player pick 4 (or 3) different leader/civ combinations and let lurkers vote for which options they would like to see them as, though maybe reserve that for another PBEM.

I have no problems with this. I'd even go as far as letting the lurkers choose what they want us to play without any kind of guidelines (although I already have a leader and civ in mid to play).

But that would probably end up making the game less fun for some of the players, so I think it's likely to be accepted.

EDIT: I don't have a problem with the mana suggestion by selrahc. The blessing of Amathaon I vote against, since I don't like maps crampled with resources.

I do not have enough time available regularly to play a PBEM (sometime I have plenty, other times I have none), but I would be happy to ded-lurk. I am not very experienced with FFH2, but have played some games, the Adventures here, and followed the earlier PBEM games.

The extra nodes are fine I guess, no real issue with them except the likelyhood of 1-2 blocking where I'd like to settle.

Other thoughts I've had are

1. No Acheron
2. Orthus on
3. Duin on (if anyone ever manages to get good use out of him)
4. Standard world size for 7, small or standard for 6. If standard we could turn on barb world again.
5. Living world
6. Wildlands
7. Raging barbs
8. Last days? (not following too many PBEM's but would be nice to show off the effects of a high AC)
9. Nomral cylindrical world wrap, temperate or random climate.
10. Some water, some islands.
11. Your Civ or leader is picked by other players in a snake pick first. You get to pick what to pair with it. I guess we could let lurkers pick too?

As I'm a complete n00b at FFH, I'd like to Dedlurk someone who plans to update fairly often so I can ask stupid questions and annoy them with dumb ideas.
