No change in demos post-Parkin, so I didn't bother. Gillette hasn't played yet.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Guys, why did you play the turn so fast? I think you should have moved the scout 77 and then circled around to the south east of PB3 (77, 21, then 33 to be on the tile it is now, but on T3), this way we have no unit that can scout out the SE and SW without wasting turns.

So...what is the turn report thread going to look like? Gaspar, you wrote the first turn report, you get to make the thread
Also, AH is a very likely second tech, but I think that eastern plains hill is the second city location unless ad until we find something better. It overlaps the sugar and sheep (so +5fpt at size 1, +7fpt at size 2), has at least two hills to work after the borders pop, and has two river grassland tiles to cottage and share with PB3. It enables a city for the crab/fish to be third city (or later) and can build the work boat for it. The other reasonable city site is to the south, to split of the deer, but that city has a lower fpt at size 1 and size 2 but would make more hammers: it would be a good city to go granary first and use two chops, but it's not on a river. It would overlap more potential cottage tiles with PB3 though, and has more hills, and is basically nothing but grassland tiles. Either city needs AH to be viable though, but Hunting>AH>Pottery might be a bit painful with a lack of slaving.

If the scout moves 77 next turn it can still head out east from there, turn south and sweep west through fog without wasting turns.

We will presumably build another warrior fairly soon (at least in time for our settler), it can investigate our immediate vicinity while our first two explorers push deep right away. Gives us earlier contacts and a head start on Magellan's.

First report posted. I followed basically the same setup I use when reporting PBEM turns. Open to suggestions, of course.
All apologies if folks feel we played too fast. Felt that there weren't a lot of decisions to make that weren't already discussed and we (Lewwyn, Nicolae and myself) agreed that 1-2 followed by 7-7 worked well. If we want to discuss a standard for how and when turns should be played, I'm happy to follow it.

I think the main thing is to make sure to discuss all things possible ahead of time. Any new information that warrants a reaction should be discussed as thoroughly as possible, but part of the chosen format is that we don't have that much time to react on new information.
For purposes of early exploration, we should agree on a general plan for exploration that the turnplayer and whoever is around can then interpret. I suggest that we explore deep with both the warrior and the scout, using our next warrior to clear out the remaining fog near us.

It needs to move 99 to uncover the land near the fish and then where does it go?

But it doesn't. We can have the warrior we pop out after the first worker go north to explore the land near the fish. We have time to explore everything before our first settler is ready and we have to make a final decision about where it will go.

I don't think the capital can be left undefended for that long: 52*52 isn't actually that big a map and everyone started with a scout and warrior. I would be opposed to moving that warrior out of the capital, and I still am even with that scout move.
