Just seems a bit odd to have 15+ land oil (plus a few offshore ones) and only 8-9 coal, especially with a map with this much land.
I haven't counted any of the other strategic resources (and can't see aluminum yet of course), but it never really felt like they were short. If I didn't have horses or something, at least someone else on the map had extra.
Coal is a 50% production boost (plus lost opportunity to build railroads until combustion is in). Pretty critical if there isn't even enough to trade for.

Alas General Moray returns to the High lord with news the war is over. The King of Kings is no more. Also on the northern front the vile Inca have capitulated and are holing out in thier last city soon to be no more.
As said earlier Genocide is never taken lightly but in this case was taken to its conclusion.

dsplaisted's refusal to honor agreements has forced Carthage to take action.
(turn split OK with you? I'll continue to play first if so)

Yes, I agree to the turn split with you going first.
The Malinese empire resents these spurious accusations of breaking an agreement. We had no explicit agreement with Carthage except arguably a NAP which required 10 turns of cancellation notice. If anyone has broken an agreement it is the dastardly Carthaginians who attacked the outdated ships that formed our Museum of Naval History! Fortunately the museum was closed and no civilian lives were lost.
The Malinese empire does not understand why the Carthaginians would launch this unprovoked attack against a nation that has the military power to crush them like a bug. However, if that is what they wish, crushed like a bug they will be!

The tech-sharing was to last until Exploit was defeated. Yet Mali has withheld key military techs, despite repeated requests from Carthage, in clear violation of our agreement.

Malinese airships have been conducting a nuisance attack on Carthagian warships. They were tracked to their base at Lothering.
Under cover of darkness, a crack unit of Carthaginan Infantry staged an amphibious raid on the airfield. Unfortunately an accidental fire was fueled by a large hydrogen storage tank, resulting in the complete destruction of the city.

Elkad,
I probably just didn't check well enough, but I thought Lothering would have been safe. I thought you had moved your transport westward and would be out of range of Lothering. Probably I forgot to check if you moved it into one of your cities, but can you confirm that you didn't double move on me to do this?
Thanks,
Daniel

Civstats says that Elkad logged in a total of once last turn, and that was before you; don't see how he could have double-moved you in that case.

I moved it to my capitol on the prior turn (and loaded troops). This turn it moved from my capital to assault Lothering and whatever the other city was (3n, defended by an archer). In case you didn't notice, it's Nav2.
