I thought they were in enforced peace?

Also, hooray, there's only two people left to play AND they happen to be the only two people that we need to play after. Wheeee. dancing

Actually, Black Sword is in 3 wars at the moment:

Old Harry has declared on suttree again, which explains why he's been whipping so much.

And I probably shouldn't have logged in, because I had to deny Bacchus' offer before he finished his turn:

Looks like we get to have some action in the east after all! hammer

So the lurkers are aware, there's a situation, and we're waiting on Brick to chime in.

1) Pindicator logged in this morning to just glance at the situation real quick before he left for work. He was greeted by an offer by Bacchus - he decided to re-offer the exact deal we asked for (peace for Seahawks + cash). This is good. However, he couldn't accept due to a pause.

2) WLP logged in to attempt to unpause, and that crashed the game, bouncing pindicator out of the game.

3) The game eventually returned to normal, but when I logged in to check, the deal did not go through.

Now, we can't play until later tonight anyway, but the issue is that we lost our chance to accept this deal as a result of a technical glitch, and this means we would have to play our turn very differently than intended. We really wanted this peace deal, and Bacchus effectively accepted it by re-offering it. I think since this was out of our control, it is fair to ask that the deal be processed before we play our turn. I see two options for this:

* We reload to dtay's login, just minutes before pindicator logged in and saw our deal from Bacchus. This would require reload, unpause, and then we accept Bacchus' offer as intended.

* We reach out to Bacchus and request that he log in and accept the deal as re-offered, explaining that a glitch prevented us from accepting it. (We would need to make sure the game was unpaused for him though or else we might have the same problem)

The latter is neater and cleaner just by nature of avoiding a reload, but it's also against the rules, or at least highly questionable for us to do it independently. Would be interested to hear lurker input. I did send this to Brick earlier - I was hoping to avoid another tech thread circus by just handling this privately, but I wanted to lay it out here in the interest of transparency. Here's a screenshot of me re-offering the deal that we originally offered (and Bacchus re-offered to us) a couple hours ago:

Seems totally fair to me to ask Bacchus to re-offer the deal.

So no one would cry foul if I alerted Bacchus to the situation via PM (just by saying, re-offer the deal, glitch prevented us from accepting) so that he would login before we play our part of the turn? Just trying to be extra careful since a few people in this game have been tense over things like this.

You might even consider posting in the public thread whst hsppened, without mentioning which deal you saw. After all, there might be more proposals you missed too. It's not clear what the bug is here.

But I see no problem contacting bacchus. Of course I don't speak for all.

Yeah, if a bug stops a trade deal from occurring, that's pretty much grounds for a reload; simply stating that a reload is needed because of that in the public thread is fine (and anyone that moans can STFU IMO).

Went ahead and posted in IT thread, hopefully that was both vague enough and specific enough. I'm afraid if Bacchus tries to login to accept my re-offer, he'll get stuck in the pause and the same problem will happen all over again.

Good response.

It's been resolved. Bacchus accepted. We were greeted by this:

The deal must have been 90g not 94g, so I accepted this and returned him his 4g. Not intentional. Anyway, let's glance at what TBS did:

Just suicided a cat. At first I thought he did it, didn't like his odds, then changed his mind, but I guess he figured it was useless on defense so he may as well soften our attackers. Anyway, here's our setup:

He took the cats in Chrysalis and moved them NW-NE-NW under the Spy. We can easily kill those with incoming Knights off Galleons. That garrison in Kid Dinosaur is not intimidating, but we are a little low on healthy bodies right this turn. I'm unsure if we can take it, I didn't look real closely. Chrysalis I believe we can take, but it's a little risky since we'd be talking about 3 wounded Grens in the city. However, capturing it may allow us to shuttle in a few extra units. Again, I only took like 5 minutes to look at this, so I didn't really survey our options. Overall this looks okay, no obvious signs of a strong counter-attack, though I still fear he's got something in reserve here. (Every indication is that TBS is a solid player, so we just need to be careful not to underestimate him here.)

Also, quick glance at why we wanted Seahawks back:

Free Market, ya'll. That's a 42gpt profit at 0% science. Also, looks like Bacchus was kind enough to build a Market for us while he borrowed our city. Note to self to rename this city to Broncos. smile
