I assume this goes without saying, but in case others read this thread later, in addition to keeping a low profile for a while, you should also do your very best to not reveal any info you gleamed while lurking nor let said info influence your recommendations. For instance, if Team 2 had posted on t1 "on t50 we're hitting the tile 20west of our first settled cap with everything we've got" (to use a silly example) not only should a lurker not reveal that fact, but they should also be careful not to recommend, say, shifting units to that front if they wouldn't make such a recommendation in a vacuum.
