Pretty good turn, let's start with scout:

The Warriors:

This is really interesting and bears discussing. No one has a 2nd city yet. Trolls have this warrior on a hill. I'm betting that they are putting it there as a deterrent. "Look our warrior is right here." Sends me the msg that they're weak... Need to do some demo work to figure out for sure.

Nice. Also note land area. We're tied with Trolls who are also CRE. No one has a second city.

We also got Graphs on Animal Sex this turn. We need to pick our next espionage target. Trolls or Gillette? We're at 40 EPs with the Animals so we can put 2 more against them and 2 into our next target before switching completely over the next turn. Here are the graphs:

Need to decided this turn if we declare war or not.

If we decide to declare war we can send them an ultimatum after they play their turn but before we play ours. Ultimatum can be whatever we want.

Could even be "Forever Alone" or "Challenge Accepted"...

I think we could really screw up the Trolls' micro if we go in now. either Gillette or Trolls have only 1 warrior. I'm leaning towards Trolls because they were size 1 for so long and they only just grew recently. Very likely they are currently building their 2nd warrior while working food tiles.

If we attack the second warrior is on its way from the north. Can be in Troll territory in 4 turns. The other warrior presents an interesting decision. If we go SW onto the plains we can promote the warrior to C1 and prevent and dice rolling by the trolls. They might be inclined to take a 50-50 shot if they can micro their current warrior to finish the same turn if they fail. But C1 makes it about a 30% shot which I don't think they'll risk. Following that we go south and draw their warrior with us, then surprise them in the north with the second warrior.

Personally I'm in favor of going for it. If we choke em a bit here we can completely throw off their game. If they have a settler we may even be able to find it and raze a newly built city if we can keep their warriors busy.

We could really use the discussion on this though.

Geberal thoughts:
If we plan to antagonize Trolls go in soon, next turn, turn after. (turn after to wait for second warrior.)
If not, scout outside in case there is a chance to steal. (and wait for other warrior to arrive.)
Probably go on forest+save promotion (I have no experience though...)
The warrior on hill looks like recent - maybe to stop us waltzing up in covfer?

Definately. That's one of the reasons I say we go over the plains with the promo. With that warrior there we still have to go over flat land anyway.

I'm thinking we let them think they can go north, let them run into our northern warrior, while our southern warrior comes in from behind and tries to interdict workers trying to road north.

I dunno, will they be reckless enough to do that?

I doubt we even have the time for that, they are going to be building warriors right now...

So I went in to see what the mistake might have been that makes the Animal sex plan so worthless and I don't see anything. This turn they grew to 4. Not sure what else they could have done that was so massive it warrants a reload. Personally I don't think they deserve a reload for a mistake made in game, but we'll see what Mist says. He should have the final word since he'll have all the facts. hammer
