Is there a better way to post images than this? I've got dropbox but no other way of putting them on the web...
I think we should move the warrior 1 South - if I was the scout I think there is only one choice (light blue) where I wouldn't end up next to that...
Then we'll have a 70% chance against the deer plains hill, and 78% odds against the plains forest and the grassland forest.
Are those odds good enough?

1S makes sense yeah. That's the most likely way of our warrior remaining hidden until the last moment. I'm not super enthusiastic about 70 and 78% odds given that the benefit is pretty light, but it would be really nice to kill it.
I use Dropbox too, and I find that to be by far the quickest if you use it within windows explorer (right-click -> Dropbox -> copy public link).

The only chance we have of attacking them on flat ground is if they follow purple and we go 1 sw. But they aren't that dumb are they?

This is very tough to predict. Since they are faster, they would have to walk up to our unit without seeing it for us to be able to attack. And they have to have at least a general idea of where we are on the map. If I were them, I would not be advancing into any blind tiles and would stick to open areas with my scout.
So we can position our warrior and hope they blunder into it, but otherwise I would not go out of our way. If we get a chance to kill their scout, let's take it. If we don't, not a big deal.

Tend to agree with haphazard. We'll need some luck here. There's too many hills/forests for them to easily land next to us.

Well, in that case, I'd say the next best thing is positioning our warrior to prevent their scout from moving south and seeing our borders. No reason for them to know our exact location.

Hey guys, we're up and have less than an hour to play!!!
I asked for a pause in the tech thread, but we should probably play our turn ASAP. I'll PM some of our team members who have been playing the turns to see if anyone can take care of this for us.
Edit: Thanks scooter!

FYI I played very quickly as my window of civ availability was closing so I didn't get time to double-check here (and I missed the screenshot), but I did move the warrior 1S because I seemed to remember someone postulated that was best and that sounded good enough to me.

Thanks for playing the turn, scooter! I had thought we were still paused, and when I saw the message about 50 minutes left I was already at work.

Still working on the road up to new city. I went ahead and decided to prep for another road as we haven't really discussed this:
We can get these roads done in time for the settler and then get some immediate chopping going. We can get the granary really quick. Capital:
We'll eventually have to pause the cottage for the road. And yes there's a road on the plains forest hill, it's just hard to see. Demos:
