That map looks a lot better for the NA as well.
'Kay thanks.
Things that need doing (self list):
- Balance
- Fix Techs to remove the AI bonus techs from Player 1 - 6
- Fix Difficulties for Players 1 - 6
- Make sure every Player is starting with Scout/Settler
- Fix Leftover vision from all the moving about

the number of different happy resources seems to vary greatly in the analyzer log (12,13 for 2 teams, 5 for another)- is that a problem?

Just looking at the map, it seems like the natives can very easily be boxed into their little pocket area without much land to work (plenty of water though), whereas someone like the Khmer just has a ton of space northward and westward to expand without anyone all that close by, for example. Also a complete dearth of non-Calender happiness resources except for Rome, who has double gold right at his doorstep, and Natives, who gets silver relatively close. I could be wrong of course.
EDIT - Also not liking the whales seemingly being a vital happiness resource for the Natives. There's no good reason whatsoever to tech to Optics on this map until the Astronomy prereq becomes necessary and outside of that all they have is silver, one possibly contested silk, and some ivory far north in the jungle.
I presume these are just balance issues though, and I really like the layout of the map. Reminds me a bit of PB6's map, though not quite a chokepointish I guess?

given that they've specificly requested a random map with only minor tweaks, i don't find it all that much of an issue ...

We'll look at the Luxes tonight. I'm pretty happy with the NA position to not get boxed in. Keep in mind, to cut them off he'd need to get double pink-dotted. How do you balance that when the players want strategic water?

what's that mean, sareln? there are 5 furs on the map divided among 3 players? if so, 3 golds belong to 1 player?

If the players requested a random map, then TBH it's hard to justify any change.
