So, T53 was on the cards, and I'm starting to try to cement my lead. Which is rather surprising, how the hell am I in the lead?
Well, that isn't actually that difficult to figure out. Yes, I spent 2 turns wandering around with a settler, and yes I didn't settle on a plains hill, but I have 6/0/0, 3/3/0 and 4/1/0 tiles in the capital, and I grew to work all of them asap. That's a lot of production to power growth, and a size 7 capital gives more per turn production than slaves even with a granary...
Stupid barbs, GIVE ME WARRIORS!...
...Just down in the jungle by Ceil and not up here, please. I'm going to explore with the warrior then barb bust to stop barbs from spawning. I'm not in the mood to fight axes with warriors and archers just yet. The tile 1N of the peak will ikely stop barbs from spawning on most if not all of that ice ball peninsula.
Here is my new city. I gotta admit I like the name. Kudos to novice for the theme
Decent stats, GNP needs some work, but that's what I'm working on...I quite like disparity between top and bottom crop yeild and MFG. Also, note the lowest population, that is a size 2 city and two size 1 cities. I have 7, 2, and 1. Poor Yuris...who was the player who just settled a city, and last turn the demographics had the lowest pop at 7K...well, unintentional C&D, I should probably apologise for that right now.
...I decided to risk it. I got experience, which isn't that great, I think it's just about the worst possible outcome apart from barbs. Whatever, I didn't get barbs, and my hut luck has been pretty good to me so far.
Hi Ceil. You there with only 2 cities.
And none of them are particularly good cities either.

I can't either way, given I referred to him as Dick Cheney in PBEM17 .

Interesting turn.
Yay...stone. Bit far a way though. And the main two wonders that use stone just got built on the same turn...by scoozed and regicator. Which one built which I don't know, but I don't really care either. Just keep on exploring and looking for that last barb...
I HAVE SEAFOOD! Just wow, though. Luckily I have that fish down south, because this one isn't going to be planted for a long time...if at all. And the furs aren't important either. I suppose I'll plant the city once I need to trade for resources.
More I look at this city more I think I fucked up the MM. I'm hoping that I have the acoid growth trick understood correctly. The city stops at 24/24 food and at size 2. Next turn I revolt to slavery and slave the granary, dropping the food bar to 24/22 then turn off avoid growth. My original thoughts were that I'd get 7 food from the granary this way but the more I think about it I'm wrong and will only get 5 food. Whatever. The city gets slaved again, back down to size 1 for the worker...I have one worker finishing a chop on T57, the slave would be due on T58, then it's just straight growth on cottages.
Interesting, that's a rather small city to finish the Pyramids in. Even with chops and IND, some production is rather useful in finishing the Mids in a reasonable time frame. Because of that, I reckon that scoozed has stone, so they needed as little production as possible.
I really need those cottages.

Any one got any questions? I'm trying to think about what to talk about, but TBH I'm not doing anything new that I haven't done in previous games.

You're not building Stonehenge, apparently. That's fairly new.
This thread is a great read, I'm not posting much because you are answering any questions I might have before I ask them.

Maybe he didn't have the stones for it on this map?
Yes, that was a pun.
