Not to harp on this, but...I'm out of the golden age, and yet with no tech selected:
![]() I guess Flugauto plans on using spy economy to catch up? It, er, won't work. Aggressive muskets, then cuirs are the next two techs and then do I even care about beakers? Okay, MilSci will be nice if things grind on that long; as Genghis I can definitely set up a nice commando pump. ![]() Who do I have to kill to end this, seriously?

Everyone!
Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon (August 3rd, 2015, 21:13)spacetyrantxenu Wrote: Everyone!Apparently. On the plus side, that seems pretty dang doable. I'm not normally one of those "he wasn't defending so I had to hit him!" guys, but COME ON. Building up a second army in the west, because you can bet your sweet bippy Flugauto is going to go be stupid there in seven turns. If not earlier, with his absurd EP spending...

I spy a spy. If you see one, you figure there have to be more...and as I said, Flugauto is pumping out the EPs at me. He's going to be able to rob me...if not blind, then at least kind of myopic. Given Fluggy's tendency as shown to be less constructive and more destructive, though, he's probably going to dick around with sabotage, discord, and poison.
![]() Newcastle is going back, but it'll cost old boy the flower of his army first. The Humbolts is a fairly typical “core” city to show what impact can be expected. My health caps are pretty high right now and the poison well mission is overpriced, so I doubt he'll hit with that. Fomenting rebellion...well, we've got a fair-to-middling happy headway, so it wouldn't be efficient, nor really would disconnecting resources although he might try to disrupt the few trades ongoing. Mostly, I expect building sabotage, which will kind of be unpleasant but Merch/Caste covers a multitude of sins. ![]() ...and Flug can indeed have that covering for himself if he steals Nationalism! And, um, I guess researches Constitution. (August 6th, 2015, 11:52)Boldly Going Nowhere Wrote:Oh yeah, and I'm kind of at war. It's, um, not all that impressive, either visually or tactically. Rumble up the fork with ten knights, backstopped by the stack of doom. It's so lightly protected in here I sent back the second stack of chucks to cave in some more Flug face.(July 31st, 2015, 15:22)Commodore Wrote: Good game, Wetbandit. On to LT.The save or your armies?? ![]() Why are we still playing this? Once again, this is silly guys. It's a barb-knock life for us.

Ohhh. Last fellow we stumbled on? “spice1” This time, Ivories 1 and 2 got caught. By Jove. I do believe Flugauto intends to go on a disconnect-the-luxuries spree. That's...why he's not yet conceding? Because he feels like dumping hundreds of hammers on spies and thousands of gold on EPs just to screw with my happy resources? Does he understand my worker labor's ability to counteract this gambit? This is going to be hella stupid.
![]() Please just let it end. I used to respect Flugauto as a player before this nonsensical interlude. I guess I'll be getting a little bit of war weariness this turn; I lost a few knights burning LT's second-best city. Janisaries are pretty tough, if he had a dozen more this would be impossible. As it is, hey, thanks for funding Gunpowder for pinch and Agg muskets. ![]() Meh. Way I see it now, LT's got two options: Surrender or get mauled. Not die, not really yet...I'll need to mass up yet another army to chew through the bigger stuff...but I can waddle my slow way to his Colossus capital and at the very least force him to engage. We're just here to break crap; the army is a write-off. I'm massing a second over in fair westland to engage Fluggy...we might cause me problems if he figures out how to build catapults, not spies... ![]() My swords are still relevant. That is ridiculous.

Despite the Ottomen unique unit theoretically directly countering everything I'm sending in, I'm winning the battle of attrition as I plunder, rape, and pillage my way through the countryside. Chucklenaughts are tough enough to deeply wound the victor jans, and knights are gnarly, particularly with pinch. ![]() Also pictured: Logical Tautology whipping himself to the bone. Here's where we are now; I've just cut the entire Ottoman empire in half and am now going to run rampant in the backlines for a while. It's been pretty profitable! ![]() ![]() Next waves is muskets and cuirs with more chucks, the I actually take the stuff. whyarewestillplaying.jpg ![]() Le yawn. So this was pretty hilarious; as his captured spies' names pressaged, Flugauto churned through probably too little EP and definitely a wasteful number of hammers to kill the empire's luxuries. This is where we began last turn; we had 4 back online immediately with the miners and Yuri sent back his dyes, so we're back to the same demo dominance, now with a couple more angry faces. This...did nothing.![]() Hell, my own whipping is more a cause of woe still: ![]() Fluggy, Fluggy, Fluggy... Seriously, do you know how badly an extra twenty catapults would have hurt me? As it is, he's only barely got enough to take back Newcastle. And if he gets cute/stupid, he's about to lose one of those cities next turn. Anyone see how? ![]() ![]() China OP, nerf plz.
