More discussion on the green topics would be good. Also, we need to decide on forum access:

A) Lurkers must sign up with a team to get access, lurkers may sign up for as many teams as they like
B) Team players who are logged in do not have access to the threads of the other teams
C) All threads are open at all times

A is an attempt at encouraging lurkers to delurk. B only deals with the issue of accidentally reading threads from other player. C has everything open at all times, doubt anyone will be voting for this option.

Anyone got any thoughts on sequential v Simul turns or a double move rule?

How about simultaneous except in cases of war? Parkin is in this game and no double move rule can contain him. Isn't it possible to change between sequential and simultaneous via save or DLL hackery?

Sequential may work for this game as most teams have players from around the globe who can play a turn at pretty much any time of day however, I imagine that it will become very difficult to keep even 2, let alone 3 players on a team totally clued up on what to do each turn should they be required to play it - particularly later on in the game.

That said - it completely negates the need for a double move rule - which we all know cause a lot or trouble regarless of how water-tight they seem.

See starts: yes
Ban diplo victory: No, But yes Ban AP victory while allowing AP to be built.
Diplo before contact: No

I also say Simul turns with double-move rule.

Seq would be too hectic IMO. Turns can definitely be played in a timely manner, but the demo aspect will suffer a lot. I'm willing to take a gamble on double move rules, this would be good chance to showcase that they work in a cooperative and competent group.

Do we want resolutions to be on? That doesn't seem to have been covered much.

Sequential will not happen. Even with you guys changing vote from No Vote to Sequential, there are still three other teams that voted for Simultaneous, and this is enough to carry.

Settings as I put them up for vote are finalized, there was enough majority for all of the options.

As for a double-move rule, my suggestion is here. Feel free to pick it apart or offer something better.
