That's bad. You can still send me the logs and I have a look. Other than that anything you can remember before the crash can help. Otherwise I'm stumbling in the dark.
I just crashed in game. This time, I remember it was in the F1 screen. Couldn't get a screenshot. I'll attach the logs, but I'm not sure how much help they will be.
No, it didn't. Also, it was F2 (Financial Advisor), not F1 (Domestic Advisor). Sorry about that. I clicked through several other advisors, to see if the issue was opening multiple advisors and it didn't crash.
Is there a log setting that we should be using? Cause, the logs I found were not very interesting. I've attached them.
That's already the right logs that you send, but as you already said, there isn't anything meaningful in there. I also tried the savegame in there and played around with the Financial Advisor (F2) but I was not able to crash it. The good thing is, if the F2 advisor is the cause for the crash, it should crash on SP games too. So I will play a few of those and see if I can crash it.
Also you can turn on python exceptions if you want:
In your CivilizationIV.ini there is a setting HidePythonExceptions. Replace that line with:
HidePythonExceptions = 1
and you will get lovely exceptions popups, if any errors occur.
And it's reproducible! Charriu, log into the game as my leader, and open F2 the game is fine. Then try to mouse over any line of the F2 screen, and it crashes.
I've paused the game and let Charriu have a play with it, but once he is finished he can roll the turn..
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
