... is anyone around to pause? Stuck in a diplo window... yes, the person who paused was me, and yes I was one who the opened the window... and yes, this isn't the first time I've done this to myself...

Those of you that have trouble connecting to someone, do you at least send a PM to that person when you are trying to connect to ask them to log out for a short period so that you can play your turn? If not, I would suggest doing so. If you have a certain window that you need for playing your turn and someone is connected that is blocking you (especially if they've been connected for more than 30 minutes), you should message them asking them to log out so that you can get your turn done.

...I think some time ago I did ask people not to stay logged in unless they are really playing or, at least, wrirting a report. It looks like no one cares.

Sorry for my part in this. I care (a lot), but occasionally doze off while logged in. It's pretty rare but that's what happened in this case. There are other times when I do take my sweet time, and in those cases I will log out if I see I am blocking someone.
AFAIK, my natneg is set up correctly so the above issues should not affect many other players. I've also taken the precaution of inserting bent paper clips to protrude from the top of my keyboard as a means of self-enforcement for the next time an honest mistake of mine happens to coincide with a recent forum post.

Quote:Hey guys, I'm looking at putting a PB18 style update in the lurker thread, with a full map view, pop counts and other important info.
Would people be able to take one overview screenshot of their civ on T65 to help with this? If people want to do a full report that'd be a great, but for the lazy people just the one picture would work.
Same deal for T100? A picture of your tech screen would be good too.
