From comparing screenshots in Adrien's thread and superdeath's, Adrien's power rating equals mackoti's, the power difference between mackoti and naufragar is double that between naufragar and superdeath, and the power difference between Adrien and 2metraninja is five times the gap between mackoti and naufragar. How tall is Imhotep? I find it hard to assess superdeath's exact count (44 archers, 20 spears are 212,000 plus barracks, walls, totem poles (6000) in every city I assume, and some military tech and dog soldiers), but naufragar last he posted demos had 294,000. I'd eyeball that 2metraninja has ~200,000 soldiers total. Adrien has 30 horse archers alone.
Looks like the Dark Horse Corner will "enter the game" soon. Cairo should focus on the cities furthest from Adrien (i.e. the northern coast), I suppose, to get a share with his smaller army (though that'll stretch his border thin afterwards, but there's probably no way around it). If xenu or Donovan in particular (since plako/Gavagai are probably not in a position to contest that landmass west of Floydlandia) choose a fast Astronomy, that could get interesting some 40t down the line.
e: though from Donovan's latest post, he just finished Currency and Construction, so unless he has a few GScis close to generation up his sleeve, that's not going to happen soon. Might still be soon enough for him to claim those lands at least. And xenu is in Police State, probably looking to pile on against 2metraninja.

Comm certainly seems like he wants to encourage TBS to do so, with his plan to put much of his military to sea when Astro comes in for him. Not sure how ready TBS will be to defend at that point; he has a lot of balls to juggle, and he probably can't afford to get in too big a fight too soon if he wants to remain in spitting distance of Mack and his knigs. But he might well be able to scare up enough of a defense to hold his own; without seeing the detail of TBS's plans it's hard to tell how much navy he'll have on that coast by the time Comm jumps in the pond.

If Com commits enough galleons I don't think TBS can win, especially against Com with Charismatic. And preats still beat xbows.

 Yeah, I know right?
I was so tempted to ask him what he thought was going to happen after he DOW'd Plako and manipulated Commodore. Less than 10T until we're likely to see another 3-way on him started by PIN.

When attacking cities. Xbows only have city defense bonus against maces, so the melee bonus and city attack bonus cancel out, and then the preat has higher strength. And if the scenario is attacking new cities on another continent culture is negligible so it just hills that matter. Preats will do fine so long as there are other units to sit in cities so the xbows can't vacate and then attack the city.

That’s what caused Commodore to hate him for the rest of the game, right? Comm committed to war with Plato assuming Gav was going to help dogpile, only for Gav to get out a couple turns later?
Is it possible Pin and Comm are going to actually help each other? There’s some history between those two, yes?

I think that there's history between all of these guys. Given Gav's thinking they'll be future issues too.
It wasn't a couple of turns later; it was 1T later that Gav made peace with Plako,...making this an oh-so-obvious "screwed you" move.
Pin was hoping that Comm was at war with Gav. Pin's thread suggest they're more than open to an alliance despite any past issues.

I mean, he might have a case for some of it, but he's not presenting that, just presenting his conclusions.
From what I see it seems strange to think it's adult to take cities from Plako but childish for Plako to reconquer the land, true. And I also find it strange to think that Plako hasn't reached the point in the game where any city can be expected to be positive value, if you can keep it - which pumping culture certainly helps to do.

Hate might be a bit strong of a word, but extreme distrust + anger leads to a similar result.

I think they will be a fairly paranoid pair of allies, but I think they will be able to declare war on Gavagai together and keep peace between them. They've fought a bunch of wars in past games, but at this point I think they've settled into mutual wary respect.
Edit: It helps that Commodore's goal is to secure his 'backlines' while grabbing a lot of overseas land, of course. It's a lot easier to share a cake with someone who isn't very hungry
And of course Plako has also expressed interest in being part of a dogpile against Gavagai. The main hold-up right now is the no-diplo, but once any single one starts fighting Gavagai seriously, the rest of Gavagai's neighbors will want to pile on. Gav's only real chance now is to be prickly enough that no one wants to commit to enough of a war to start the dogpile in the first place, but it looks like that's not going to work. He can't be strong enough everywhere, especially when bordering Praets and Cho-Ko-Nu's in era.
