@ Krill - Stupid rule then and it's wrong. What matters is keeping turn order AFTER war has been declared...so much neater (and never requires you to break no communication rules in an AI diplo only game). What counts is allowing the defender to have a chance to react before the attacker moves again (after dow). The fact that you have to declare war to enter borders makes the turns getting to the opponent's borders irrelevant. We disagree in principle. I don't accept the rule as it stands..it is the complex solution to an easy problem. It also gives the attacker (who by definition is the aggressor) the advantage that should belong to the defender. It makes a mockery of the base game (where the defender has the advantage). RB is known for unaltered gameplay...this rule changes the gameplay from what it should be (not that I am a purist but then again RB doesn't even use BUG mod - which doesn't change gameplay except superficially {namely bug fixes and info that is in game but takes extra mouse clicks to access}). Yes, RB Mod alters gameplay (tailored to mp play) but, correct me if I'm wrong, the intent wasn't necessarily alter the gameplay, just to make it more mp friendly. This game at least, the rules are the rules, however, I am making a case for why this rule needs to be simplified. Who knows, you might even be able to play an AI diplo only game without breaking the rules.

CFCJesterFool, there is a specific reason why the turn order came out the way it did, which you will understand when you examine the situation in its totality. I'd suggest leaving this discussion till later, because it is very hard for lurkers to argue certain points without being able to lay out all the evidence. Enjoy the Four Loko - the game can wait till tomorrow .

Enjoy the Four Loko - the game can wait till tomorrow . My point to Krill is because he has been an intermediary. What can I say, I feel passionate about my point...kinda forgot about the game tbh. Krill understands passion I can assure you. However, you're right, no need to screw up the lurker experience. Don't worry, neither I nor Scooter/Pin are holding up the game...we're waiting on others.
Edit: One last thing, I also wanted to document my thoughts during the game (and the rule does concern 'the game'), otherwise why post at all? After the game is over, and the players can read each others threads, who knows, someone might find my rantings amusing.
X2 Edit: No "die scumbag" yet...maybe I won't get banned after all.

You won't get banned for that, just remember that it's usually a good idea to only post drunk in your spoiler thread.

Oh, I understand passion . It's your thread - you're encouraged to document your thoughts here, so don't let me stop you - just don't be entirely surprised if there are some topics that we can't respond to adequately. Indeed, it is pretty boring lurking games where players that never say anything :D .

I remember the first time I started reading PBEM spoiler threads and was lurking Lewwyn...gotta say he knows how to put together a good thread. Very creative player who likes to cause mischief.
Entertaining read that's for sure. :D

Bad game! We lost 2 axes and Scooter lost nothing...
And he is moving towards FoF:
He'll be next to FoF next turn with his 2-movers.
Do we whip Walls? Or do we finish the archer? I think we need Walls first...
I suggest we move 2 warriors from CG to FoF. To bad we can't upgrade them, but it will mean more bodies to kill for Scooter.
I suggest we change build in FG to a Trireme.
And we whip CG, MS, SM.
Meanwhile the game continues:
Serdoa signed OB's. Nice guy! Maybe he wants to give us his copper?
Offered OB to Space again.

I'm not getting into the rules discussion. The only thing I have to say is:
WHY SCOOTER?
I mean, it's nice for him to play a role. But so far we've played the game as best as we could, keeping track of our known enemies. We could NEVER expect this and could never be prepared for this move by Scooter. And that feels wrong in many ways.
Now, let's focus on staying alive, kicking Scooter down and rebuild back to a strong position.
