Heck, I'd offer, Sullla, but there's no way in heck you'd want me playing the turns, and I can't load the Spanish mod on my Mac anyway. smile

I don't think I'm good enough to volunteer to play the turns, but thought of a few options which might make things easier for the turnplayer:

Pre war:
1. Someone writes a micro plan for getting units from current positions and new units to their designated staging points. (This needs staging points to be decided and the necessary force composition to be worked out for each.) Do you have a city micro doc of some sort to base this on or would it need to start from scratch?

During war:
2. Someone to log in at turn roll and make note of position, strength and promotions of all combat units (them and us) in a Google doc and takes screenshots. (We'd need a few people signed up as we don't know when the turn will roll).
3. Analysis of potential battles using the unit position notes to give the turn player a crib sheet to work from.

Would these help or be a massive waste of time? I'd suggest you need someone good with Cyneheard or Sareln's combat calculator for job 3, which isn't me, but I'll volunteer for one of the other two (as, like you said I'm already playing three other games and don't have the time to volunteer for both.)

Are there any other jobs you're doing that can be split off?

(And if a war time sub is what you really want I'll back Lewwyn as ideal for the job)

I'm willing to run the calculator during a livestream, but sims ahead of time don't work well for my calculator's setup, and I frankly won't have the time to do that too.

I'm not sure that trading our map to WPC was a good idea. Now they can send it to other teams and give them full vision of where all our cities are located. While that doesn't really matter for the mainland cities, I was hoping to keep our new polar island city (Jack Frost) a secret. It will be really hard to stop CFC if they make any serious effort to take that spot.

Anyway, hopefully it's a non-issue and nothing comes from it. I've just gotten a bad vibe from WPC since the war turned so sour for them. Like, why would they even ask for a map trade right now? We just traded with them 5 turns ago during the war. Seems at least a little suspicious that they want another map, with no intervening diplo, mere turns before we get attacked. I dunno. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid. It's a non-factor now anyways.

I'd support Lewwyn to back up Sulla\give Sulla support once the war starts. I can take over pb13 to lighten Lewwyn's load at that point, too, if needed.

Lewwyn, might wanna download the Spanish mod now in case there are problems.

Seriuosly, if we want to survive this war then everything needs to go to military now. It should have been a better build up 5 turns ago when we had warning, but I understand the longing to be able to build up in peace. Sadly that isn't our reality. Having played a game recently where I experienced the same thing, I understand, but we have to build a whole lot of units really really fast.

Yeah...I think its past time to assume the diplo, despite the draw dropping cleverness of scooter, was doomed from the start. Given sunrise089's estimate of what we are likely to face we need to bite the bullet and start whipping Catapults. If scooter pulls out a last second miracle, a round or two of Catapult whips won't dramatically decrease our odds to win the game.

Agreed, it's all military time. I'd say swap builds in basically any city with production. We can make 1-2 exceptions like the Mansa's Muse bank and all that.

I was encouraged to ask for more direct help with my threat assessment begun here.

The following are some things it would be really useful to have. I'm trying to compile as much of this as I can directly, but anyone else helping out would be useful. The goal is to both inform the domestic folks of how many units we need to have and when, and the military folks on where we need units positioned and when.

*I've seen contradictory info on whether Apolyton had rifling on T162 or not. This matters since they had a large round of hurried production that turn.

*Do we have any info on Apolyton's present military at all? Some of the C&D spreadsheet is no longer updated, which is understandable, but it's still helpful to know if their power rise pre-T160 includes units or if they were all-in on a tech push.

*Ditto for CFC. Do we have any screenshots of their army composition or info on their power levels?

*Ditto for Civplayers

*Do we know if CFC has any means to accelerate their Steel push? Their civics suggest a GP plan, but Steel doesn't look very bulbable. Can we confirm they're not getting gold from anywhere?

*Finally a current screenshot of the border with Apolyton and CFC would be great. Ideally I'd like to see what we know of their road network and include at least their five nearest cities to us.

PS - I raised this to scooter in chat, but I wouldn't be surprised in WPC also DOW'd us. I don't know that it's likely, but we certainly gave them reasons to dislike us, they made a suspicious map request, and my assumption is CFC was good enough at diplo to make CivFR either in on their attack on us or at least a non-threat for a decent window, and so I see no reason why they couldn't make a similar coup with WPC. In any case though I don't propose we commit anything to that front...we're still in the triage zone so we'll have to take our chances there.
