I tried to calculate the values from demos where we had OB and then your drop after, then split it in half so we'd both gain the same amount from the trade. Now, it's very possible I didn't calculate it right, but I tried my best  smoke
I was still considering you the biggest threat and always did. That seemed to be the right call considering you ended up winning.
Good call on the workers. You (well, OH) did end up gaining me as a friend against Mjmd in the end.

If you mean the difference on pindicator's demos, then you would be splitting his gain in half. But you yourself gained commerce as well from the OB (which is why you said you agreed to them), so you would be taking the lion's share of the combined benefit to both civs if you took half of pindicator's gain on top of your own gain.

Also, being a PRO civ doesn't actually increase one's gain from OB in this version of the mod. You still gain 1 cpt either way. It only matters if you have more trade routes (e.g. GLH), not PRO trade routes.

Ty for that! I didn't know exactly what it was until the ships appeared, but I ended up declaring on Mjmd and offering peace to see if he was up to something, then did emergency whips when he didn't accept peace.

We sent a bunch more (perhaps too many?) warnings for both Colztea and Charon being attacked on t208. He's whipped both cities recently so hopefully he'll have a good defence ready.

Either I didn't get those offers or didn't understand lol

Yeah. I was quite angry at Mjmd for letting you recover your economy and instead coming after me.

Whoever attacks first will probably lose out (and their enforced peace means they get a chance to heal up after taking the city), so Mjmd moved over to take Berserk Halfling which might give Jowy an opportunity if he manages promo-healing well.

I was there just to snipe the city if Mjmd attacked and couldn't take it in 1 turn.

Peace was actually a sneaky attempt to teleport my units to attack Mjmd. Didn't quite work out.

Jowy doesn't seem to be attacking Mjmd. Maybe the war declaration will cause a few Indian units to stay in the east though. Our scouting HA is positioned to hit the empty Berserk Halfling next turn if it isn't reinforced. Should we burn it and delete the scout or liberate it to Charriu (is that allowed?) and keep the scout alive?

I had to declare war to send in a worker to his lands and find out if he was still keeping units there or if they were all tied up on your front.
Btw I was ready to take BerserkHalfling on that same turn, but it worked out better this way with the liberation play whip

I don't know where the city he burnt was - perhaps on the south coast - but it looks like he's going to take the war seriously. Now we need to figure out how to make sure he doesn't get too powerful...

Oof I'm glad we didn't play far enough for a heartbreaking betrayal. I had given up on winning a good while before this.
I was going to chill and let you guys duke it out before you befriended me with the warning and Mjmd made an enemy out of me with the attack.

The annoying thing about the tech thread concessions is that we know who we need to attack next. No theory-crafting or endless debate, we just need to put Cairo out of the running.

Sorry again for that. Hopefully that didn't ruin the game for anyone. GG WP!

True, I should have taken it into account. I did a second calculation after accepting OB:

https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/show...#pid741687

In the end the trade routes were worth 7 GPT to me and (maybe) 31 GPT to him at the time of the first calc and 19 GPT when the OB was accepted.
