Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Oh, sure, I will reassess the situation with Paris after BW is done. For now though, whipping is not an option. Also, whipping without Granary is not much better (if at all)

Scouting in the west

After Worker finishes the mine, he's going to road the forest E of Paris. There's no way to build a full road to the 2nd city spot in time, but roading that forest lets the Settler to get to the spot in 2 turns - so that's a key one to build. After Settler, I'm going to build/chop 2 more Workers, then grow to 4 and start whipping. Grow to 5 if the hill I'm currently mining is a copper hill - quite possible, considering low number of non-forested hills around the capital

Clicking on your images always gives a 500 error if one is currently logged into a Google account that isn't yours. Which is probably most of us. I recommend right clicking on the image on the page that appears after clicking on your current images and embedding to that one. So like this:

Hmmm... album settings say "anyone with a link", thought it would work. I'll try that, cheers

Any news on this one? I echo the idea to use the [screenshot ] tags as well. Auto resizing is great.

Yeah will do from now on, finally figured out how to do it smile
Will take some screenshots tomorrow, no real news... Settler finished this turn (T32), moving him into position as planned. Second city in 2 turns, BW in 3

As I said, nothing to report smile

The new screenshots look much better. thumbsup I wouldn't say there's nothing to report either, that's a lot of terrain revealed. This map is extremely fertile and seems to have forests and jungle absolutely everywhere. The one concern right now is economy, you need Pottery tech extremely badly for some cottages. Not much that can be done about it until Bronze Working finishes, of course.

Do you think Hunting or Pottery first?

I tend to think Hunting, because deer resource is in the BFC of both 2nd and 3rd city, and grassland ivory at the capital is powerful when improved as well. But I can see needing cottages and Granaries sooner
