Looks like we are going to see some fireworks! Any bets on whether Charriu just razes and turns around or rolls in?

Can't turn around, really, that army is eating a fortune in maintenance, has set China behind in terms of the snowball and so has to go somewhere and try to be converted into economy gains. Coeurva's forces are actually pretty poorly positioned, he can be cut apart and then the map actually favours dogpiles hugely (your other horizontal neighbour is also the neighbour of the guy getting slashed up, so you have a safeish backline).
Yeah, there's no way to live with that Stonehenge bomb. I'm baffled by Coeur's bafflement. It's like he didn't realize he was declaring war.
Unexpected boon for Shallow and Magic, in the end.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out. (August 27th, 2018, 14:45)Coeurva Wrote: I've sent crab/crab to Magic Science. Everyone else is clearly not working with us, except maybe for RFS who is still chopping neutral forests that would go to Malepartus with unescorted workers (see screenshot), but let him. We'll take the wheat from Space Love later.Didnt he talk about Superdeath repeatedly trying to get fish for fish style deals? Or is he just making up his mind that he is the enemy regardless? OT4E also thinks they are going to win anyway, sure they are the first ones to alpha but if your only ally is RFS who is frankly, doing poorly.. I guess I just dont see it.
Coeurva is doing insanely well, he is as far ahead of shallow as shallow is of everyone else. He is also right that the city won't fall. Charriu made a massive mistake in allowing Coeurva to double move him and get those axes in place: too bad he asked the wrong question -- dont complain of turn order, think how to use it and be ready to change your plans.
For epic lulz, the Chinese army should just cut off schilda's garrison in place and march north-westish, whilst offering peace for Schilda. Is city trading banned? Offers of it? Quote: we don't need to worry about our flank now and can kill Charriu with everything we have and will soon have. Namely praetorians. Soo, what you are saying is -- Charriu should press the attack? It is quite hilarious how Coeurva's 'not repeat PB37' strategy ended up being to roleplay PB37-Krill. Down to planting a somewhat ridiculous city that the neighbour just can't live with longterm. Can't be so impressionable, Krill did his portion of stupid in that game and, more importantly, PB37 was just a great, great first game to have run. Could well be proud and build on that foundation rather than turn it into some gameplay-defining trauma. ![]() Looks like it's going to work out for him though. Currency, dead enemy stack and well positioned to go HBR and Construction to eat his neighbours.
Yeah, after the double move fiasco and now with enforced peace (on both fronts?) they are very well set to start chomping and never stop.
Not really sure what Charriu's play even is from here. I would actually consider pushing deeper with the stack and threatening core, but that's why I shouldn't be playing actual games. |
