Interesting to see all the moralizing done with LP double-moving a couple times and then sunrise pulls a nasty one on FFH team and it's all ok. And it's not like he did it on accident either, he spent a couple weeks CHARTING FFH team logins so he could know when to burn them. LP didn't go that far.

I don't actually see a problem with what sunrise did because again, it seemed pretty clear that that kind of behavior was expected in the game rules. However, it makes some of the LP complaints seem silly. Seems like only different is LP was attacking ASM who gets chippy while Ichabod is pretty laid-back.

I thought this was completely against the spirit if not the letter of the rules, but it's pretty clear at this point that people interpreted them in entirely different and frankly pretty self serving ways.

Pretty sure you are right. I'm more talking about some of the lurker thread and the blow-up by *other* players in the dogpile thread. Beating a dead horse at this point though.

I'm with 7...one of the points of this game was to foster an environment where a double move rule wasn't necessary. Adding one at this stage just highlights the failure, and arguing over the merits of a specific rule highlights why. By his own admission sunrise089 was willing but unable to do all the bending LP did for an edge. Some of the folks that signed up for this game should have probably waited for PB5. Its a damn shame too, because this was really close to working .

He most definitely thought it was fine. I just never thought he'd put the work in to do it.

No, that would be cheating. I think dastardly is the perfect word to describe what sunrise089 did.

I'm not actually sure sunrise's attack was a good idea, but I think he should have either stopped at burning the city or gone all in and moved his war chariots in further.

All he's done now is piss off a team with whom he has had good relations, so if/when he goes after Rome, he has to defend against 2 opponents - pindicator, who he is worried about, and Mali, who is mad at him.

Yeah, since the Great Library, Parthenon and National Epic we've been churning out Great Scientists like there's no tomorrow. Doesn't take long to make 600 GPP's (for 3 Scientists) when you're generating 37 GPP's per turn.

Our fourth Great Person is due in <10 turns too, so there's a 90+% chance we'll have Academy #4 shortly.

That can't possibly be the optimal use of his first 4 great scientists here... although I guess it might make him less likely to get dogpiled, compared to doing 4 early bulbs.
