Krill, thanks for jumping in and taking over. I will now again play the saves.

I had a picture taken, unfortunately I cannot upload to Imageshack right now. Well, look at the last from Krill. It looks like that one, except that the units are not on the same places and that there is a city on the silks next to the dragonbones.
I have also revolted this round to God King and Pacifism. I am Fin, Phi, Exp right now and hope to get some techs done and a Great Sage completed before it does change again. For this I am building an Elder Council in the capital.
Oh, yeah, the cap is unhappy. Not good, there are events if your cities are unhappy I think. Unfortunately I didn't realize early enough that when it grows to size 6 it will be unhappy. And now I have nothing to do against that. I am thinking about what to do. Either Crafting -> Mining so that I finally can build Mines and chop. Or Calendar -> Festivals so that I can plantate the Incense and get a Freak Show for happiness. I like the second one better but the first one is needed so that I can build some farms as well - probably have to do it. Oh yeah, research does take 27 rounds for Crafting -> Mining :/

Hi, just checking in as a dedicated lurker. Not committing myself at this stage to anything other than not reading the other spoiler threads though
Looks like a horrible start to me, but there's plenty of opportunity. You're going to need some great diplomacy is all. Which will be difficult since you're intent on being insane (although good on you).
From my experience, when you have a city taken by Loki, you basically get a message in the message log saying "Loki just took your city". You'd really struggle to blame enraged or anything else too, since enraged would just attack something not use a spell. I partly chose this thread because I was curious to see how people would actually use him in multiplayer...
And yeah, growing to unhappiness is bad, aside from anything else you lose 2 food. Better off clicking "avoid growth". One thing I've yet to figure out in FFH is what on earth to do with excess food without the whip available. Although opening a specialist slot will certainly help.

I played turn 39 now. Nothing exciting, probably some more warriors will get eaten next turn - exploring is right now a really tough business.
But I also got a message from Ilios
Quote:Hey man,
Congrats on the second city! You founded it right where I would have if I were you.
I'm currently swamped with Lizards, how are things at your end?
Have you been able to explore a bit further to the west of Coombe View?
You wouldn't happen to know if Mist switched Civics recently?
Do you think you'll be able to play the save early tonight? I'm beat and I'd like to hit the sack before 10 pm...
Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Ilios
And I thought I'll let the first clown answer it:
Quote:Greetings Ilios,
insane amounts of bears all around us,
maddening Perpentach, making the warriors crazy
and the workers lunatic.
So, all around everythings normal.
As for our exploration of the west,
our warriors still rest,
in Coombe View they sit
till a light gets lit.
Maybe you could burn a witch
if you happen to have such a ... woman?
At least something like that to get them moving? No? What a pity.
Then I fear they will rest some more before the explore the wildlands
to the west. But I will make sure to let you know what they find.
As for your last question I put that question forth to my spies and I will
give you their answer, word for word:
"If we happen to know if Mist switched civis recently? Sure we do, we
would be piss-poor spies if we wouldn't!"
Lovely, aren't they? Was that they answer you sought?
With best regards,
Grepe Wirutwo
