Shady signed in and ended turn. I think you need to take a long lunch to play your turn. You have to have priorities, you know.

If I read the forum before playing, I could have delayed my turn a few hours to make you feel less bad. Sorry!

(Not that I want the game to go any faster, I'm happy how it is).
This is one of the advantages of pairing up with someone in a couple of hours ahead or behind you; you can cover alot more of the day, so "delays" such as this are less likely to happen.
Ah, come on guys. We are doing excellent time considering we are 11 civs scattered across the time zones.

Yup, we're happy with everything at our end. Only thing we are wondering is how long we can keep the speed up for.

I expect it to slow down to 1-2 turns a day once the empires get bigger and it takes more time to manage them. Wars will also slow things down due to the need to not double move etc.
Pairs definitely have the edge at the start where all you need is a general plan agreed and either player to log on. Though I suspect us singles will have an advantage later on when the pairs have to discuss each turn sending messages back and forth and the people on their own need only log on, examine for an hour and finish their turn.
